We came to the Saltwater Legend Series on the Gulf of America ready to compete—and that’s exactly what we did.
I couldn’t be more proud of this team. The grind, the long days, the adjustments… these guys showed up and put in the work every single day. Huge thanks to our sponsors for backing us and giving us the opportunity to fish one of the toughest saltwater tournaments on the Gulf Coast. It means everything to represent you out there. It was our honor to represent you all.
We went head-to-head with some seriously talented sticks and earned every bit of experience the hard way. We didn’t land exactly where we wanted, but make no mistake—we were in the fight, and we proved we belong.
This was just the first run. We’ve got a lot to build on, and we’re already looking ahead. Next year, we’re coming back sharper, stronger, and ready to make a statement.

Well we didn't end exactly where we wanted but, I am very proud of my team. The 2nd day was even more of a grind than the 1st with the front, high pressure and full moon in play. Still, we ground it out and worked hard.
14th place overall for our first ever Saltwater Legend Series Tournament I feel is really good fishing against the best teams in the league.
I'd like to thank all of my sponsors for supporting us and my wife for keeping us all fed and ready to go each day. There's a lot of work that goes into prepping for these tournaments and time on the water.
Yall get ready though, Port Mansfield is next, and we're coming for you 👊

Texas Grand Slam here from Capt. Larry in Rockport!🏌️‍♂️

"We have had a great weather pattern lately as well as lower tides. Those 2 things combined have resulted in some great catching days. Water temps in low 70s, air temps in upper 70s, fish have gotten concentrated in drains and guts. I only use artificial baits, fishing over grass flats with potholes close to deeper water.

@downsouthlures lures, @pavlures, knocking tail lures with soft dines and double Ds. Multiple flavors all based on water clarity.

Incorporating the major and minors will help give you more opportunities to catch fish." — Capt. Larry

Well, it was a wild day on the water today. The morning started off nice and then we got caught in a storm. 50mph winds plus and 4-5ft waves. The ol Warrior handled it great though. We might have gotten a pinch wet but...we were already wade fishing.
The bite was slow today after the storm but we put a few in the box. Ready to do it again tomorrow. Get ready fish, were coming for you.

Grateful for another year of family around the table 🤍

It was definitely a slower bite today, with the water temps dropping roughly 10 degrees overnight. All of the fish the past few days have been feeding hard and are extremely fat and have full bellies. I did manage to stick this girl on the soft dine, and boy, she did not disappoint.

Not a bad day for a wade. We had a good time putting our stringers together with several caught and released.
