The only flowers left at Trader Joe’s after the mothers day storm were these chamomiles but that’s okay because they bring calm that means the storm is over. I’m excited for tomato season 🌱🍅

Just wrapped up PostHuman with @artis.sf . Talk abt a storm. This was such a huge project and it was so cool to work with so many collaborators. I worked on narrative development with Aria, Braden and Zeke (Managing continuity, structure, themes n messaging, and three billion different ways the story could have gone. There were multiple endings at one point 🫩) I was one of the recording engineer for the voice lines, and helped with casting decisions. (@lucinda_mone did so good love your work pls autograph my face) I stayed up till three in the AM to sew a costume for the main character because Brayden asked for help at just before midnight, the Day before the donor’s viewing that also they filmed content at. (Thank you Tony Bullock for sewing kit at 12:02 AM) Some liasion-ing with the perfumer that we worked with (from the ministry of scent!!) and overseeing the prep + distribution of the scents and drinks during the show. Impromptu crowd control and Minor role as the figure leading us into the beauty of the real world at the end of the story. At the PostReception I was also credited with keeping their head screwed on in terms of what’s actually possible and feasible and yk what I really appreciate that. 🫶 (not a single instance of ai usage in this project btw.)

I’ve also been helping as extra pair of hands with our Film Making Club’s next project Somewhere Here. I’ve been helping co-ordinate, figuring out filming logistics (thank you @deego_carrillo for ur house), corralling extras, putting wardrobe expenses on my card (refund me pls corporate) and other little bts things like that here and there. I like to think I’m helpful lol. I’m also the one under the sheet most times. Many a nameless role I’m having these days. Moving into post production as we depart for summer :D

i am so excited to present the first official ArtIs event, the joy room. thank you to everyone who participated in our vision. there will be more. 🖤

the next few weeks i am going to edit the recording we got into a sonic work. i've been listening to the raw footage and it makes me smile every time.

if you couldn't attened, i had an idea to record lots of people happily chattering and expressing joy through music, all at once. i'd be able to take the recording and make it into an art piece to make what joy "sounds like". the other guys had an idea to frame it as an immersive experience for the participants, not just a recording session. that's when the joy room was born.

here’s a freestyle I did to @braydenmeng ’s beautiful freestyle music reacting to my freestyle. Lol. Shout out freestyles 🕺🏻🎻

In this part of the show, the protagonist (me) reckons with his reconstructed consciousness, exploring this delicate balance between clarity and madness. He finally escapes outside the building, grasping newfound freedom.

Pubbing a continuation of artistic storytelling with @stanfordclimateweek happening this October 20-26. One of the events I’m organizing is: “When the World Breathes Again: An Evening of Climate & Arts” on October 25 on campus. This will be THE climate & arts show at @stanford bringing dancers, musicians, and composers together to empower effective climate storytelling.

Super stoked to be partnering with artis, @howard.qin, and @sean76tan for this. And shout out to @yujeneee , @sophia_chun_ , @miaiclark_5 , and @alexninomiya for performing with me for this upcoming show. Watch us unravel the breath of the world 🌎 through an evening of music, science, and dance 🕺🏻

what is Art?

When @ezekielviolin and @braydenmeng first approached me with this project, I was ecstatic. A space where artists of all disciplines come to collaborate and create, unfettered by preconceived notions of unicellular prestige but rather conjoined by a collective je ne sais quoi to BE. This was a dream I tasted during youngarts week and continued to entertain in high school and now in college. Spaces around the world where the walls of the room demarcate between fragile uncertainty and ethereal liberation and the only expectation burdened by the audience is the plea to be a child again.

“If we don’t look now, will they keep dancing?”

@artis.sf aims to reimagine how people experience art through immersive performances, community-built creations, and unconventional social events. This was a proof-of-concept show in SF back in May, and we plan to create around the world, in SF, NY, LA, and more. Super pumped to continue the work with @artis.sf, and if you’re an artist anywhere in the world interested in the future of art, DM me and come join us :)
