Wow! I’m blown away! ❤️ Thank you to everyone who came out to my artist reception at Artistry this weekend. I’m so grateful for all the love and support, and feel incredibly lucky that I get to do this for a living.

I loved hearing how people connected with the paintings — the sense of calm, connection to nature, and how I captured the soul of the wood. These were such wonderful compliments to hear!

There’s still time to see them in person at Artistry in Bloomington. What the Wood Reveals is on view now through November 15!

Driblets, Oil on Thermally Modified Ash 💧
Dimensions: 13” x 4 3/4”

This one was so fun to paint! The grain in this piece of wood is incredible. Using thin layers of oil paint that follow the natural grain, I created water droplets—or driblets! Is it water, wood, or a little bit of both?!

See this painting in person at Artistry | Atrium Gallery in Bloomington now through November 15.

Artist Reception - October 10 from 1-3pm
Free and open to the public. All are welcome.
