i am sharing my art with the world, as part of @ladesignweekend with an experience of my roots.

chijü unfolds in three parts: a reading from a traditional chinese medicine doctor, healing bites and herbal tea to balance you, eaten right there, and original art, available to take home, that keeps you balanced long after.

it’s inspired by my own childhood, raised by my grandfather in china, in a home he turned into a free healing space for anyone who needed help.

chijü takes its name from 气质 (qìzhì), the quality of one’s energy, the presence someone carries. in chinese culture, chi runs through traditional chinese medicine, philosophy, and so many cultural practices, food therapy, feng shui, martial arts, and more.

downtown la, september 30th, 5-11pm, come for any duration, free admission, open to anyone.

reserve your spot: luma.com/chiju or link in bio @chaodou.is

with heartfelt thanks to:
@sitonitsocal for hosting and sponsoring, special thanks to @bonnbonnn and @lyssbarnett for the invite and support to make this possible

Huge congratulations to artist @michelleohmart and gallery owner/curator @michaelbrunswick on a very successful opening reception. It was a spectacularly great start to her first solo show @acetigergallery entitled Anything Can Happen in the Dark…

There was so much love and fun in the room with us the whole night, and you could feel it… The work looks so amazing and you could tell that the crowd was loving it…

Thanks again to everyone who came out and made this such a special experience…

Please be sure to save the date for our next event with @michelleohmart … Mark your calendars for the upcoming seance being performed by special guest artist @artana43 @acetigergallery on Saturday April 11th at 7pm

Lastly, we want to mention that the show continues to be on display @acetigergallery from March 21st until April 26th

Re-cap of our COVERS art show last Saturday. WHAT A SUCCESS!!! We raised $2,101 to help those in need from the Los Angeles wildfires!!! Art & music really came together for our communities in need ❤️
Due to popular demand, we will be keeping the art up for another week for those who missed it. Art is still for sale and will still contribute to the fundraiser.
We would like to thank all the artists involved (@‘s below). @artisttocs did an amazing job curating and organizing all the artists. The level of talent really transformed the shop into a legit gallery! Every piece of art was absolutely stunning.

Thank you to the dj’s who kept the vibes going all day. And I mean all day It was poppin! @exileradio @senorkees @djabel77 @anythingfresh @nicky_detroit

Tonight! Come out to @recordbox_lb for the Covers Art show. I contributed this painting based on Justin Timberlake (and the back side depicts his recent wardrobe malfunction).
