In Franz Klainsek’s piece, “Pray”, each nail is placed in prayer to himself.

“We were programmed to pray to an outside source. But what about a prayer to ourselves? A prayer to our being? To where we’ve been, where we are, where we are going - to our journey? A prayer to respect and honor ourselves. The road we have traveled. The miles we have walked. The lessons we’ve learned.” - Franz Klainsek

After studying archaeology at UCLA, Jennifer Wolf's Interest in communicating ideas of history, place and nature in her painting practice is utilized in her process of mining natural dyes and minerals to feature historically significant palette's bursting with vitality and vibrance. For nearly two decades Wolf has nurtured a palette that tells the story of the places she’s been, the labor she has invested, and the curiosity that She has cultivated. Wolf deftly unites natural dyes and hand ground pigments into transcendent compositions that capture a unique essence of color. “It is my color palette, and focus on the fluid reactions of the paint that sets me apart and gives my work a naturally distinct feel at a time when the majority of colors come out of a tube.”

The Red Sunflower.

In august 2021 i moved to Kyiv and everything I was connected with was colors and art. I was busy drawing my 🌻.

At the time of the invasion, I was on the left bank and continue to be now. On February 24, all my colors left and grayness and darkness came. everything has changed. I don't feel the same, because I'm in completely different conditions. I can't say that this is a total shock for me. I am from the Luhansk region. I know what it is when you woke up by the sound of explosions but now everything is more complicated, much more difficult. It is a real nightmare.

The 🌻 turned bloody red but it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t create, fight and exist.

Through my art, I try to unite people, send funds to support the army, buy food for territorial defense and patrol the house in which I live. I feel it is my duty to be here.

I can't stop being human.
We all can’t stop. Won’t stop.
