The prosperity gospel promises wealth, comfort, and material blessing as proof of God’s favor. But Paul the apostle teaches something radically different. In this episode of Faith in the Fire, we break down how Paul exposes the flaws of prosperity preaching and redirects believers toward endurance, contentment, and spiritual maturity.

Paul’s letters show that following Christ isn’t about gaining riches—it’s about gaining Christ Himself. He reminds us that suffering produces hope, weakness reveals God’s strength, and contentment is learned through every circumstance, not purchased through blessing.

Happy Birthday, sweetheart.
I still remember the little girl who used to hold my hand, ask a thousand questions, and light up every room she walked into. Watching you grow into the woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
I’m so proud of you—not just for what you’ve accomplished, but for the person you’ve become. Your strength, your kindness, the way you carry yourself with grace even when life gets hard… it all amazes me. You’ve built a life with courage and heart, and you’ve done it while staying true to who you are.
You make me proud every single day. I love you more than words can say.
Have the most beautiful birthday. You deserve it.

In this Faith in the Fire episode, we dive into the book of James to uncover a powerful truth: God’s goodness isn’t proven by prosperity—it’s proven by His presence in our trials.

James calls believers to a faith that works, a faith that endures, a faith that isn’t shaken by hardship. This stands in direct contrast to the prosperity gospel, which promises wealth and comfort as signs of divine favor. But James reminds us that God draws near to the humble, strengthens the weary, and crowns those who persevere—not those who accumulate riches.

Let this message encourage you: your struggle doesn’t mean God has abandoned you—your struggle may be the very place He is shaping you.

The book of James dismantles the prosperity gospel with surgical precision. In this episode of Faith in the Fire, we confront the idea that God guarantees wealth, comfort, and material blessing—and we compare it to James’ call for perseverance, humility, and faith proven through trials.
James teaches that real faith isn’t measured by what we gain, but by how we endure. He reminds us that God’s blessing is found in steadfastness, righteousness, and drawing near to Him—not chasing riches that fade.
Join us as we expose the false promises of prosperity preaching and return to the truth: God forms us through trials, not through guaranteed treasure.

aith in the Fire – The Book of Job (Part 2)
In the second half of Job, the story shifts from human debate to divine correction. After Job and his friends exhaust themselves trying to explain suffering, a new voice rises—Elihu. Young but bold, Elihu steps in to confront Job’s frustration and remind him that God’s justice is deeper than human understanding. He challenges Job’s assumptions, calling him back to humility and trust.
Then God Himself speaks from the whirlwind. God’s correction isn’t harsh—it’s holy. The Lord doesn’t give Job the answers he expected. Instead, He reveals His power, His wisdom, and His intimate care over creation. Through this encounter, Job realizes that God’s presence is greater than any explanation.
This episode of Faith in the Fire dives into how God uses correction to restore, not destroy. We explore how Elihu’s words prepare Job’s heart, how God’s voice transforms Job’s perspective, and how believers today can find hope when God redirects us. Two firefighters seeking God, learning that even in suffering, His mercy still leads us back to truth.

The Book of Job is one of the most raw, honest, and powerful journeys of faith in all of Scripture. In this episode of Faith in the Fire, we dive deep into Job’s story — a man who lost everything yet refused to let go of God.
We explore the weight of suffering, the mystery of God’s sovereignty, and the unshakable truth that even in our darkest seasons, God is still speaking. Job’s life reminds us that faith isn’t proven in comfort — it’s proven in the fire.
Job’s story hits home for anyone who has carried heavy burdens, faced loss, or walked through seasons where God felt silent. For firefighters, police and military, and all who stand in the gap for others, Job shows us how to stand firm when the weight of the world presses in.

“I know that my Redeemer lives.” — Job 19:25

Join us as we unpack the mercy, justice, and unshakeable grace of God revealed through Job’s life. Let this episode strengthen your spirit, sharpen your faith, and remind you that your Redeemer lives — even in the fire.
