graphic illustration based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Our Lady's Child"

/medium: black ballpoint and gel pens on A3 paper.
drawing size: A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)

/description of the work: a graphic book cover illustration in a Gothic style, based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Our Lady's Child". In this work, I wanted to convey the contrast between isolation and resilience: the fragile hope of a girl for a better future, standing alone before a vast crowd that has turned its back on her. Have you ever felt that spark of hope when everyone else is against you?

/about the project: a series of A3 graphic illustrations created for my Master’s thesis on developing teenagers' graphic skills through mastering black-and-white art. The project explores the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the original Brothers Grimm fairy tales.

graphic illustration based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood"

/medium: black ballpoint and gel pens on A3 paper.
drawing size: A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)

/description of the work: a graphic book cover illustration in a Gothic style, based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood". In this piece, I wanted to capture a fragile moment of detachment — a strange, reckless numbness in the very face of fear. When danger is so close, yet the mind wanders somewhere far away.

graphic illustration based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Rapunzel"

/medium: black ballpoint and gel pens on A3 paper.
drawing size: A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)

/description of the work: a graphic book cover illustration in a Gothic style, based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Rapunzel". This is my absolute favorite piece from the series. I wanted to capture the deep sadness and melancholy of being trapped in that lonely tower.

graphic illustration based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "The Water Nixie"

/medium: black ballpoint and gel pens on A3 paper.
drawing size: A3 (29.7 × 42 cm)

/description of the work: a graphic book cover illustration in a Gothic style, based on the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale "The Water Nixie". With this piece, I sought to capture the nixie’s gaze — at once venomous and entirely hollow.

Ophelia

/medium: black ballpoint and gel pens on A4 paper

/description of the work: this artwork depicts Ophelia from Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet — drowning in the water, yet looking as if she has already accepted her fate. Since Instagram doesn't have the exact song that inspired this piece, I attached another track that still beautifully captures that haunting, melancholic atmosphere. I went through a "manic phase" while creating this, during which I found myself rewatching old film adaptations of his plays.
