The Arts Center of Mississippi works to empower our local and statewide community by highlighting Mississippi Artists

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So glad to be a part of the “Breaking the Silence” Exhibition for a second year. 💜💜It was really special getting to share my work and speak a little about the meaning behind these pieces. “Where the Light Finds Me” and “What Cannot Be Undone” will be on display at the Arts Center of Mississippi throughout the month of October in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the show and the artists involved. 💜

We will be working from a theme but the main objective is to have fun! If you plan to attend, please RSVP using the link so we can prepare for you to be there!

Join our studio on October 16th at 6:30PM for a night of rapid-fire art talks from local creators, complete with drinks from @fertilegroundbeer and some delicious made-to-order gourmet barbecue from our returning friends @eddiewrightbbq, provided by us!

We at Duvall Decker seek to foster a space for the community to share ideas, stories, and experiences. Concrete Studio is a space where we gather twice a year to celebrate people, art, and our thriving community. In short, we want to highlight cool people who do cool things! Concrete Studio’s storytelling platform explores inspiration, from people to places, to culture and movements, all right in our own backyard.

We’ll be joined by seven creators to hear their stories about life and art using only 20 images, where each image will be on screen for 20 seconds. Twenty images, twenty seconds each, that’s it. Think of it as a quick-paced rapid-fire story that keeps everyone engaged (and they only speak for less than 7 minutes!). We value what our speakers contribute to the place we call home and are so excited to hear their stories!

We will set up right outside our studio in Fondren, so don’t forget your chairs! This community event is free to the public, and all are welcome. See y’all there!

ONE WEEK. 💜
Last year, we gathered to remember. We said their names. We created space for art, reflection, and conversations that matter.

One week from today, we do it again.

Join us for Breaking the Silence 2026 as we honor Mississippians whose lives were lost to domestic violence and continue the conversations that can help us recognize the signs sooner.

📅 Thursday, October 1 | 6:30PM
📍 Arts Center of Mississippi
201 E. Pascagoula St., Jackson

Free and open to the community.

Swipe for a look back at last year's Breaking the Silence. ➡️💜

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of 1 by 1: The Infinite Loop on Saturday. @ransburgart and I are incredibly grateful for the support, thoughtful conversations, and energy you brought into the space.

If you missed the opening, it is not too late! The exhibition remains on view at @artscenterms through the end of November. Available works may be purchased during the exhibition. Message me for details.

Thank you to everyone that came out to see my and @brenden.eli exhibition "1x1, the infinite loop" during our opening at the @artscenterms tonight. Seeing everyone's reactions, hearing your thoughts on our works, and answering questions on the spot were highlights of the night. For those who missed out, the exhibition will be up until December 1st and there will be other events in between that I'll tell you about later. For now, I'm going to rest and enjoy this feeling of accomplishment. #Ransburgart #BrendenDavisArt #ArtsCenterMS #1x1theinfiniteloop #Mississippiartist

Today has been so surreal! It started with being on @wjtv12 with @1kaylatho to talk about my and @brenden.eli "1x1, the infinite loop" exhibition opening this Saturday (4-7 p.m.) at the @artscenterms while folding a zine live on air. We also talked about the murals and other work I've done as an artist living in Jackson. Afterwards, I went to fine tune some details on my pieces for the exhibition. @turnermartin19 is making sure that all of our works are well displayed for everyone to enjoy. Had a great lunch, some phone conversations, talked to a class of students in Tucson, Arizona about art, legacy, and of course anime, and finished a commission that my neighbor requested. It's been an adventurous day and I should be tired but honestly I feel fired up! I can't wait to see you all and hear what you think of the exhibition! Thank you all for being a blessing.
