I’m gonna look back on this time and not even realize how good I had it, like I always do

Won’t let August slip through my fingers
It’s still summer for a while

we had such a fun saturday night at the @woostersqartbazaar it was fantastic meeting so many talented artists & makers as well as a few lovely people from @historicwoostersquare

our goal is for every dollar spent with new haven craft club to stay local - supporting artists, small businesses, and the creative community we’re building together.

🌻🐐🌻I can teach you how to replace your lawn with (mostly) native, pollinator 🐝 friendly habitats like this! Learn “low energy” gardening techniques, and/or let me do the work;) 💪🪏👀Every site is different! Use what you find! This is a unique challenge tackling a well established colony of mugwort from new construction a few yrs ago. We’re testing three methods: sheet mulch, mow, and smother. Im most hopeful about the sheet mulched section and fighting plants with deep rooting native tree saplings, 30 native plants from GROWERS at Edgerton Park, grasses and 5 different alternative lawn ground covers and wildflowers from @americanmeadows Let it 🌧️ 🍀🌻🍀

📆Link in bio to make an appointment for urban gardening solutions, food forests 🌳 and suburban wildflower meadows.

🍀🐐☘️ In the late 1880s, the residential area of New Haven, CT from State Street to Orange St between Edwards Street and East Rock Park was dubbed “Goatville” because many of the Irish immigrants kept goats, which, not knowing much about deeds and property lines, tended to wander around the neighborhood. Used by outsiders, the nickname carried a contemptuous tone at first, but the neighborhood soon adopted it as a term of affection and pride ☘️ 🐐 🍀

This crew was made up of folks from all over but I want to thank folks we brought down from Connecticut. Whether we met in college, or high school, or on set, its always been a dream of mine to shoot a film at this house with friends and have it be a kind of vacation. I don’t any of us have worked so hard on vacation, but its definitely my favorite so far!

Hey everyone! Biagio here! I’m the writer/director of “Bodies of Water”. Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me. As we near completion on the film and start going out to film festivals, I wanted to take some time to highlight some of the key members of our team that made this film possible. Plus, seems like a great way to please to algorithmic gods, so stay tuned for more BTS shots from our shoot back in June!

A day later, I’m still beside myself with what the organizers of @eastrockporchfest pulled off. They unlocked a dormant energy of collaboration and excitement in this neighborhood that exploded all at once - yet somehow felt seamless and organized. Beyond excited for next year!

Though minuscule in comparison to their effort, I’m glad our water station was part of it. A chance to show off some neighborhood (and area) history in a form you can touch.

Featuring: the East Rock Pharmacy Window (@artstuffbysam sticker), Davenport Ave Roller Rink Flooring, and some pieces from 142 York St (@urbanminers) and the Guilford Pest House.

Also @goatvillesalvage and @newhavenflea are awesome.
