For the past few months, I’ve been quietly working on something special. Almost a week ago, I finally got to share it in Manila.

More than just the food, it was really all about the people ❤️

Manila weather was definitely testing us that day 🌧️ but, huge thanks to everyone who still made it through and joined us for dinner.

Seeing friends, family and so many new faces all in one room was pretty special. I really missed that kind of energy being back in the restaurant, connecting with guests, sharing stories and just enjoying the whole experience together.

Such a good turnout and honestly just a really fun night ✨

Big thank you to Chef @alexcraig.tan , Chef @mikeelopez.tan and the whole @tandem.mnl team for having me and making everything so fun and easy. It was so good to share my food and be part of such an exciting dining scene in Manila.

Big ups to @not.the.plant & @thecupofjo_ for the time, support and making this happen. 🙏🏼

what was our thought process when we were building our little pocket?

aside from our space being another place you can hang out in, we wanted people who can make you feel at home but also make you bangin' coffee. so with that, meet our team ü

so we've been doing a bunch things the past few weeks, and in true pocket fashion, we're announcing this in the middle of when it's happening already! we've wanted to announce our grand opening before our @jacqueandmatcha and @basiscoffeeoutpost takeover, but we got busy with making sure everything's gonna happen and we didn't want to rush our amazing artist to do this for us. but ta-da! we're announcing our "no grand opening" we've already been open thing+++!!!

we've got a bunch of fun stuff in line, collaborating with brands we enjoy, people we admire, and creative energies that we want in our tiny pocket! upcoming events include a modern and fun book club hosted by @theunderlinedlife , a shop takeover by @guama.world , a special pie menu and tasting with @yourpiefriend, an after hours special with @pusang.galawines , an industry takeover (and post coffee events whirlwind debriefing) with @currentcoffeeroasters and a fun little fieldtrip brunch bar takeover with @guesthouse.coffee at @tandem.mnl, and maybe more???

besides takeovers, we're also doing some special product collaborations with @sgt.mags to make a special pocket lamp we've designed together, a limited edition @leondenimph pocket coaster, and a signature scent series with @otterhausph !

ok, that's a lot! but we hope you guys are as excited as us to celebrate the next few weeks of pocket being "officially" open, credit card terminal and all.

we hope to see you in your pocket of fun and surprises very soon!

I don’t go to a lot of coffee shops, but when I do and I frequent the place more than once, it means I had a good experience.

@pocketmakati has been my home coffee shop in Makati. The place and people, gives off the “Tamabay lang ako sa house ng kabarkada ko” vibes. The place is cozy with good coffee and yummy pastries.

The hifi setup is also what makes me come back. I enjoy listening to the owners and baristas choice of music. The other day we were listening to Justin Bieber’s latest album, there was Earth Wind and Fire, then Oasis.

Thanks to the team behind @pocketmakati thanks for showing me an honest to goodness, good time!
