It truly takes a village to make good things happen.

My sincere thanks to the incredible village of folks who helped make my new exhibition, Steeping Memory: A Collective Offering, possible—from its conception to installation. I’m thrilled that the show is now up and opening this week, and I’m so proud to celebrate it with many of you at the opening reception this Friday, Oct. 24, from 5–8pm. See exhibition details via the Linktree in my bio.

Special thanks to CUNY York College, the Art & Art History Department, the College Art Gallery, and York’s Printing Services. Heartfelt appreciation to my York collaborators, Professor Emily Verla Bovino and Gallery Director Nicholas Fraser.

And sincere thanks to all the amazing folks who shared their time, expertise, and facilities in support of me and this exhibition: Melissa Dean, Dave Eppley, Jessica Holmes, Rejin Leys, Ernie and his team at Penn & Fletcher, Bushra Rehman, Renee Smith, Erma Wise, and Elizabeth Velazquez. 🙏🏾💛

We’re proud to help bring to life the first major museum exhibition to survey the relationship between architecture and the environmental movement in the United States through our work with @MoMADesignStudio.

EMERGING ECOLOGIES is only on view through Jan 20 —don’t miss it!

From MoMA:
Emerging Ecologies brings together a wide range of work—from archival drawings to videos to architectural models—spanning six decades.

Inspired in part by the smoky yellow skies above New York in June 2023, the main exhibition color on the title wall is in piercing yellow, expressing the urgency of the works on view and the rapidly accelerating climate crisis. Our 800 lb title wall was fabricated in Brooklyn and assembled on site by MoMA’s carpentry team with biscuit joints. It was then seamed and finished, wrapping the corners for a seamless wall.

In addition to the title wall, we created a 37’ timeline, a title wall visible from the Sculpture Garden, and a bespoke projection map. Architect James Wines designed a custom illustration for the exhibition poster sold by MoMA Design Store.

Curatorial team: Carson Chan, Curator @chan.carson ;
Matthew Wagstaffe and Dewi Tan, Ambasz Institute Research Assistants; and Eva Lavranou, 12-month intern, Ambasz Institute. Exhibition design: Aimee Keefer.

Design and production: @momadesignstudio @local_projects

Typography: Antique Legacy (designed by François Rappo in 2020. Published by Optimo). Title Wall Fabrication: @dcmfabrication Silkscreen: Crown Prints. Wallpaper and Vinyl: @artworldsign
