Week 17 of ATX Art Nights Community Sketchbook! 🩷

I started us off with a sparrow in January to represent community, a reminder of what Art Nights aims to make! Since then, this sketchbook has seen the hands of 16 different people!

Each week, a new person will fills next page, creating a sketchbook full of inspiration and stories! All of it is documented and posted here on Instagram! So follow along to see the next piece!

This page was done by @artxhaze ! "My love letter to Joshua Tree. An experience of full, raw authenticity alone in the middle of the desert."

Want to join in? 🎨 Everyone’s welcome, no matter your experience level or medium used! PAINTERS, WRITERS, SINGERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS! Comment if you’re interested!

I hope this sketchbook encourages everybody watching to create with others! 🩷

i was #262 for a few hours, it was a unique day. training in any capacity is very diverse, let it be weight- based, flexibility, psychological, exposure, and i’m down with it all, except for endurance. i’ve never liked anything even remotely endurance based, but training, and in itself, this triathlon changed my feelings. within a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike & 3 mile run i sought no escape ( i did need better breath work though ) and it really shocked me because generally i would draw back from a 3 mile run alone. endurance is a matter of mind - body & no matter how many times you hear or speak it yourself it’s unrealized until your body is capable of more but your mind is adverse. i felt this mental adversity along with the mind - body connection the whole time, but so many outside events & factors made me only feel positivity during the triathlon. every other person involved only had positivity to spread & it was almost odd how kind these sweaty & tired strangers were to many others they didn’t know. i enjoyed the swim the most & it was also the most feared of the sports for me. shoutout everybody who did the triathlon with me , my support pre & post & the homies who made it so much more fun than grueling shoutout u guys. & shoutout king joe for letting me use his bike #slaves

“just because God‘s blessed you where you are doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there. What worked five years ago may not work today. If you’re going to be successful, you have to be willing to change. Every blessing is not supposed to be permanent. every provision is not supposed to last forever . We should constantly evaluate our friendships who speaking into your life who are you depending on make sure they’re not dragging you down limiting you from blossoming. Everybody is not supposed to be in our life forever. If you don’t get rid of the wrong friends, you’ll never meet the right friends. what happens is because we’re not willing to change we get stuck in what God used to do instead of moving forward into what God is about to do.” New episode on peace and falling in love.
