Prompt: OWN CHOICE for the #summerbuggin2026 challenge.

I'm a little early for the final week (22nd to 31st July), but might do another - we shall see.

The challenge is hosted by @lisap_illustrations and @artyreg77

My "bug" which is an Eastern Black Swallowtail is a mixed media illustration, painted with acrylic paints and finished with coloured pencils and fine liners.

Thanks to the hosts for the inspirational prompts and for the great support.

Credit goes to : Thomas Elliott - Unsplash for the reference photo.

Also Prompt: BUG for @inktober

(Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata). Close-up of this ladybird perched on a tiny leaf, painted with Van Gogh watercolour paints on A5 300g watercolour paper.

The brightest of the yellow British ladybirds. Some have a white pronotum and others are yellow. Very small at 3 to 4.5 mm. Feeds on mildew. Commonly found around April to August.

Any likes and comments are always appreciated. Thank you. ❤️
