The moment I shared about what I do at @pana_wellbeing, Nilay immediately said, “That’s so wholesome! I have something in mind. Why don’t you and I fix a day when all the senior citizens get their hair done from me.” I was genuinely touched by his thoughtfulness.

Here we are, turning that beautiful thought into action. These were for underprivileged seniors who either had never been to a salon or hadn’t in over 40 years. Watching their pure joy, their excitement, and how special they felt was heartwarming beyond words. Honestly, this wasn’t just a small gesture—it was a big one, and it made such a meaningful difference. ❤️

Project Love and Light ✨

As we age, our bodies go through changes that can impact the way we live day to day. For seniors, one of the biggest issues can be a decline in manual dexterity. This can make simple tasks like opening a jar or buttoning a shirt much more difficult and can even lead to falls and other injuries.

In today’s class we did hand strengthening and a hand-eye coordination activity. Not only did they make a beautiful wall hanging with old bangles but also made this really cute earring in the end.

I MISS BOOK SALES! I miss going to bookstores and browsing books for hours on end reading the first few pages to see if they might interest me or not. I miss the smell. I miss the community. I miss seeing someone pick up my favourite book hesitantly and trying very desperately to not burst open and implore them to buy it because it’ll be amazing. I miss book stores and their staff helping me with my every tiny need and whim and fancy.

Oh well.

But meanwhile, @harpercollinsin decided to help us out with an online book sale on their excellent catalogue of books. These are the six I bought - its a mix of books I’ve been wanting to read as well as books that will educate me on things I didn’t know about. As for what I’m going to read first, I’m leaning towards ‘Those Pricey Thakur Girls’ by Anuja Chauhan. I need a little simple happy fun book in my life right now.
