Happy 4 Year Anniversary, @stlruncrew!

Running has completely reshaped my life, and I owe so much of that to the STL Run Crew. I entered the sport of running because i thought it represented being in good health. What I didn’t know at the time is that it offered so much more. I’ve been able to build deep friendships with people from every inch of the St. Louis metro, and even with Black-led run clubs from across the country! Equally as important, I’ve been able to learn the City of St. Louis in new ways by investing in running in the parts of town that most folks run away from. There is something special about being around a community of people who choose to do something hard time and time again.

Serving on leadership for this organization has been one of the greatest joys of my life! I wasn’t expecting to become a Captain and the Director of Operations, but I saw the vision that @rickyfromst.louis created and knew that I couldn’t sit on the sidelines for something so transformational to the community.

Cheers to 4 years. Let’s continue to Run The City!
