"I was particularly struck by Dave Monaco in the role of Don Ottavio. I had already heard him several times abroad and had admired his lyrical, beautiful timbre, his elegant phrasing, and his remarkable command of ornamentation. Yet from the very first aria he left me spellbound, thanks to the exquisite legato of his opening lines. In the aria of the second act, the legato sustained through his long breath was astonishingly smooth and mellow. His crisp agility and beautifully controlled pianissimo added further refinement, and all these elements came together organically, giving the music an unmistakable sense of nobility." (Toshi Kohara, ClassicNavi)

We've just concluded our fifth and final "Don Giovanni" at the @newnationaltheatretokyo. It's been fantastic, arigatō Tōkyō ❤️🇯🇵 (Thank you, and a big round of applause for @asagaroff and @luigi.perego: it was a joy to sing in such a beautiful production!)
