Table Talk by Malù dalla Piccola at United Palace NYC, presented by Christian Louboutin. Four acts staged in the spirit of the Surrealist dinner parties of post-war Paris — candlelit dinner on the stage itself, ballerina in scarlet pointe shoes, projected dancers moving behind her, the audience seated inside the piece. The Red Shoes as source material.
Nitemind — lighting and video design, programming, production, logistics, crew.
A sheer fabric hung in front of the LED wall, close enough to the guests that the screen itself would have read as tech in the room. Projector moved into position on stage during dinner. Not a setup cue — part of the piece.

Producir siempre tiene sus contratiempos; hacerlo en el desierto, aún más.

Este año Burning Man empezó con tormentas de arena, eléctricas y lluvia, que provocó que los sets previstos se cancelaran o fueran reprogramados durante la semana.

Este set de Black Coffee fue con el que, por fin, pudimos comenzar con los shows, y la preparación de meses de trabajo tuvo sentido.

Más de 2200 cortes de video, 9 cámaras, 1 Drone y un crew impresionante están detrás de este y de todos los sets de este año.

Production always comes with its challenges; doing it in the desert, even more so.

This year, Burning Man kicked off with sandstorms, lightning, and rain, which caused the scheduled sets to be canceled or rescheduled throughout the week.

This Black Coffee set was the one where we finally got to kick off the shows, and months of preparation finally made sense.

Over 2,200 video cuts, 9 cameras, 1 Drone, and an amazing crew are behind this and every set this year.

Thanks, Pablo, for the trust.

(1/3) Dear Frances, Pablo, Gerry, Juli, Barrett, Diego and Dan… I came to this burn believing that life was a random occurrence of events. But after a week with the Mayan Warrior chosen family, I no longer believe in coincidences. The universe is intentional, woven with love, and vibrating with a frequency of gratitude / joy. Everything you can see and feel is a miracle. Before I was a Warrior, I was lost, now that I’m a Warrior, I have found my way. Before I would’ve described the Mayan Warrior as an incredible work of art and a music machine. Now I know that it’s much more than that, it’s a positive energy vortex. A place where people can come together in group therapy, immersed in music, that radiates, love, joy, and happiness. Everyone who steps away from the Mayan Warrior leaves more energized, more whole, and with a heart more open than before. Mayan Warrior is a camp run by absolute professionals with open hearts, smiles stretching, ear to ear, and complaints nonexistent. The logistics, kitchen, sound, lights, lasers, LEDs, operations, transportation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, all flawless!! Thank you so very much Ricardo, Gerry, Holder, Martin, Alejandro, Arturo, Adri, Keala, Rentar, Gael, Julian, Daniel, Cole, Rena, Chucho, Asa, Glenn, Ricardo, Moises, Laura, Justin, Sabrina, Moisey, Dan, LMD Design, and many more. Every piece of this vessel is designed with intention, built to hold space for magic. The result is a living, breathing work of art, powered by gratitude and wisdom. Right after the burn of the man, at the very heart of the Mayan Warrior, dead center at the rear of the car, beneath the laser, the unconditional love of the universe reconnected me with my brother, Scott Jacobs, who I had not ‘seen’ in almost 10 years. The Warrior gave me the opportunity I had only dreamed of; to look him in the eye, with a hand on his heart, and apologize for the mistakes I made when we were fighting after my father‘s death, to welcome him and his family in to the Mayan Warrior family.

Ever wondered what motivates our Crew to succeed?

Meet Sean Soobyiah, a driven and creative member of our @groundworkoperations family.

Born in Trinidad and raised in New York City, Sean brings a wealth of prior experience in event production and client management from the non profit space, having collaborated with the likes of Mariano Rivera and the NY Mets, among others.

Sean chose a business focused curriculum for his high school studies, and majored in Architecture at the NYC College of Technology @citytechcuny . With a passion for computers, Sean believes combining technology, art, and nature can create something truly special, and is always looking for ways to bring those elements together.
