I completely agree with this important insight shared by Devi Sahny. AI is rapidly becoming an essential skill across virtually every profession, and learning how to use it effectively is no longer optional.
However, there is an equally important concern: the overuse of AI can gradually diminish curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving if it replaces thinking instead of enhancing it.
This is why schools have such a vital role to play. They should teach children not only how to use AI, but also when to use it—and, just as importantly, when to think independently. AI should be introduced in moderation and used as a tool to amplify human intelligence, not replace it. The goal should be to nurture curious minds, encourage deep thinking, and develop the cognitive skills that will enable future generations to work with AI without becoming dependent on it.
The future belongs not to those who simply use AI, but to those who can think beyond it.

Be the one, wherever you go you spread light, happiness and peace,

Imagine asking a fish to climb a tree, a bird to swim, and an elephant to fly.
Then imagine judging them all by the same exam.
For generations, education has largely been built around standardization, teaching the same content, at the same pace, and measuring success in much the same way. While this model has helped educate millions, many educators, psychologists, and employers now question whether it fully prepares young people for the realities of today's world.
We are entering an era where AI can recall facts in seconds, but it cannot replace human curiosity, empathy, wisdom, resilience, or the ability to make meaning from experience.
So perhaps the question is no longer:
"How much do students know?"
Instead, we should be asking:
"Who are they becoming?"
In this episode, I am joined by Devi Sahny, education entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, Forbes-featured leader, Georgetown University Board Member, and founder of two global education companies that have supported more than 13,000 students and 120 schools.
Together, we explore:
🧠 Why education needs to move beyond memorization.
🌍 How schools can prepare students for a rapidly changing world.
💡 Why developing confidence, critical thinking, adaptability, and purpose may matter as much as academic achievement.
🤖 What education should look like in the age of AI.
🚀 How we can build learning environments that help every child unlock their potential.
If the world has changed, shouldn't education change too?
Join us for a conversation that challenges assumptions and reimagines what learning could become.

The “Bigger Picture” of Education 🌍

At The Edge, we believe that true change happens when students look beyond their screens and start looking at the impact they have on others.
By fostering self-awareness and a “team mentality,” we’re helping the next generation move from “What am I doing?” to “How do we grow together?”

It’s about more than just a curriculum; it’s about perspective.
