One of the most meaningful parts of FOCAM was the opportunity to connect — as leaders, collaborators, and members of a shared artistic community. Throughout the festival, we exchanged thoughtful feedback, explored ideas for new works, and engaged in sincere conversations about each composer’s creative process. We believe each artist departed feeling inspired and supported, ready to continue creating the music they will bring into the world in the years ahead. We also left with renewed inspiration in our mission to support living composers and advocate for their work. #newmusic #festival #connection #collaboration #livingcomposers

It’s hard to believe a week has already passed since FOCAM! We’d like to take a moment to reflect on this wonderful experience by sharing some photos of the incredible new music we heard — from solo piano and chamber ensembles to the Symphony Wind Ensemble — along with insightful presentation and the beautiful venues that hosted performances over the three-day festival. Our heartfelt thanks to the FOCAM team for making this amazing festival possible. Stay tuned for more festival reflections. #newmusic #festival #focam #wsu #livingcomposers

We extend our sincere thanks to our incredible Pianist in Residence, Daniel Inamorato, our Abundant Silence composers for their exceptional works, and the entire FOCAM and WSU School of Music community for a truly inspiring festival experience. #festivalforcreativepianists #abundantsilence #focam #newmusic #wsu
