People call sponge floating a waste of time.
Same lads don’t question floating concrete.

Same process. Disturb it, bring the cream up, lay it back in.

Plaster sets by crystallisation.
You’re reorganising the surface as it sets.

Facts are facts. They don’t lie. #plasteringuk #plasteringlife #plasteringwork #nameofthegame #factsdontcareaboutyourfeelings

Did you know the colour of plasterboard actually tells you what it’s designed for? 👷‍♂️

It’s not just about aesthetics - each type has a specific purpose on-site. Getting it wrong can lead to failed inspections, delays, or costly rework. Here's a quick breakdown:

🟢 Green plasterboard – Moisture-resistant
Perfect for high-humidity areas like bathrooms, kitchens and utility spaces.

🔴 Pink plasterboard – Fire-resistant
Designed for areas where fire protection is critical, such as escape routes, riser shafts or plant rooms.

⚪ Grey plasterboard – Standard use
General purpose board for walls and ceilings in dry, non-critical areas.

🔵 Blue plasterboard – Acoustic performance
Used in spaces where sound insulation matters, like offices, schools or apartments.

🟡 Foil-backed plasterboard – Vapour control & thermal performance
Used on external walls to stop moisture from penetrating and improve thermal efficiency.

At Plasline, we help contractors get this right from day one - avoiding spec issues and making handovers smoother.

The best part of finishing a project is these final images. Seeing all the hard work and vision come to life and passing the keys back to a happy client.

Thanks to everyone involved on this job, what a team ⚒️
