Life in Czechia recently! Visited Plzeň, one of my new favorite Czech cities. The NEFILTER PILSNER was life changing. The Pilsner Urquell Brewery tour was a highlight, as well as climbing to the top of the church. I was also honored to be hosted by @ash_in_czech in Pardubice for her project day, as well as @czechia_eliana in Litomyšl & @katherineabroadd in Vysoké Mýto for some co-teaching! Only one month left in the Czech Republic for me 😭😭😭😭 let’s make the most of it!

Hi! Sorry for the delays on my Instagram posts, I’ve been in Czechia for over a month now and felt like I should share some highlights and random funny things!

- Meeting the US Ambassador in Prague last weekend was a highlight! Such an amazing time and got to hang out with my fellow ETAs
- My first school lunch!
- My trip to get an x-ray on my foot 😭 sprained toe week 1!
- Lunch by the square in Zlín
- Outdoor family festival where my amazing mentor Tereza sang the BEST ABBA songs!! Who knew she could be the best mentor and singer?!
- Golden hour in Zlín
- Wine festival views from Uherské Hradiště!
- Shoutout to the Principal for getting me a toaster! Peanut butter toast never tasted so good 😁
- Tried the cookie place near my bus stop… made me think of Crumbl cookie!
- Got up for my first live event of the year! The Presidential debate… just had to see it live. I anticipate getting up for Boston Celtics playoff games and the night of our Presidential Election in November
- First train ride in Europe!! All went well
- Meeting the other ETAs in Prague to celebrate Kate’s birthday! Such an amazing time
- At a pub in the basement! Felt at home, very Irish!
- Nice nighttime view in Prague
- View of Zlín from the plane ride that I flew in… shoutout Jarka and her incredible family!
- Rolling luggage on cobblestone is not for the weak… this was the easiest part. Felt embarrassed but saved $! #budgeting
- Huuuuge escalator up to Old Town
- My ETA friends and I having fun in Prague!
- Nice church near my hostel in Prague
- Dinner with a Fulbright alum - this was so awesome!!!!

I could only fit 20 photos but there are so many more small memories not captured in photos. I feel so lucky to be in Zlín with the BEST students, mentors, peers, and ETAs. I hope October is even more fun than September has been! Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome

Orientation at Vila Lanna

Finally met up with the rest of the ETAs! We had some more team-building workshops, lectures on Czech history, and the highlight was definitely the reception hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic. I’m so honored to be part of such an amazing group of people❤️

Sorry in advance for the spam, but it’s been a busy week!

Started off last weekend embracing my inner tourist with some other ETAs in Prague :) We toured the Astrological Clock and got some great views of the city, ate some good food, and in the evening saw a performance of Pride and Prejudice (actually the coolest thing ever!) The next day we toured Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and met up with some other ETAs at a local cider festival.

Next up, orientation!
