Melbourne Marathon 🏃‍♂️🏅

The goal was 3:30, but the clock stopped at 3:53:43

Held goal pace for the first 24km before hitting the wall!

I knew I’d left a few runs short in my preparation, and the marathon certainly reminded me of that. But you don’t lose, you learn!

Disappointed not to hit the goal, but forever grateful to have the ability to challenge myself and finish a marathon. Something I’ll never take for granted.

Crossing that finish line and seeing my beautiful wife and little girl waiting for me was the real win and what got me through

Lessons learnt, memories made, and 3:30 will have to wait!

VIBES ON in Melbourne over the weekend for @melbmara 😍💜⚡️🙌🏅

Katie, Christian, Amy and Stu took on the full marathon, with Sarah lining up for the half, all amongst a big year of triathlon goals, busy lives and some parenting!

With Em, Kieren and Archie on support crew duties, it was a proper team effort from start to finish 🐶🫶
