POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Farm life, dog handling… and now a published author! 📖🐑 Meet @ash_tikitiki , our Walter Peak Rural Team Leader. She came for a six-month summer job nearly three years ago and never left. Along the way, she fell in love with the station’s history, dug through archives and out-of-print books, and turned it all into a book: Walter Peak: How She Came To Be.
It covers 300+ years of stories, from world-famous merino wool to a resort that never quite happened, with hundreds of photos (many taken by Ashley herself). Plus the story behind the peaks’ original name, Ka Kamu-a-Hakitekura
