Streets who quarantine together...Halloween together! (Better late posting than never 😂) The silver lining of 2020 has definitely been getting to know my neighbors on a deeper level. If you drove past our street before the elections and saw the wide array of signs, you would see we don’t all agree on politics. And We don’t all believe in the same religion. And we haven’t all responded to the pandemic in the exact same way. But we sure do love each other and have a LOT of FUN together. Some may call it a bubble but I’m just really thankful to be surrounded by people who love above all else. When we knew our annual Halloween plans would be cancelled this year, we put the sugar in the lemonade, just like we have been doing for most of this (acidic) year. Our kids had the BEST time and so did we. Someone asked me, “do you miss dressing up as a family theme?” Seeing my street dressing up together in a Disney theme made me so excited I didn’t miss a family theme at all. I literally looked out my window as everyone was walking to the start of our parade and felt like I was at Disney seeing my neighbors NAIL their characters. I seriously could have cried I was so happy. Not sure this Halloween can be topped! And while the first picture may look like chaos I saw the rainbow🌈that only happens in certain conditions when light shines through water. It was a perfectly sunny day so just made me feel a little God wink. Here we are dispersing our different colors that only happens in the sunshine and the rain. #2020 #lifeonvirginiaroad // Thanks to @kittyrbrown and @maggie.l.marshall for making us a parade banner (and to Meredith for her beautiful cheerleader handwriting) Thanks to @carolinewilliamseades for getting the train and bouncy house. Thanks to @cgmooore for creating a pumpkin carving station the kids LOVED and enjoyed for hours even in the dark. Thanks to @anne.weintraub for ordering all the pizzas. And thanks to all these mamas for dressing up and bringing me so much joy! 💓
