Before New York, before EMG, I was just a girl who was told she had the right measurements for fit modeling. #modeldiary #fitmodel

In 2018 I walked into Rage Models, booked my first job for Forever 21, and fell in love with the quiet side of fashion: the fittings, the pins, the process of production. I thought that chapter might be the whole story. It turned out to only be the beginning.

In 2019 I stepped away completely when I found out I was pregnant with my son, Rorik. For a while I believed my modeling days were over. Motherhood became my entire world, and I was okay with that… until the quiet desire to create again started whispering louder. Sometimes the pause is what teaches you how badly you still want it.

December 2020. I sent digitals to EMG on a hopeful whim. A FaceTime interview later, I was signed to their LA board. Thank you @angieharron for taking a chance on me. That one bold email gave me the opportunity I had been praying for. The following year life completely changed when my husband and I decided to move to Connecticut, to the small town where he grew up.

I thought this new chapter meant my time as a fit model was over, but Rage Models connected me with True Models, and that connection led me to New York. Proof that you don’t always need a perfect plan. Sometimes you just need the audacity to ask to be seen again. I told EMG about my move to the east coast and they signed me to their NYC board. This was my chance. 🍎🗽

I had about a year where I was starting to build my portfolio in New York when, at the beginning of 2022, I found out I was pregnant with my second son, Axton. I did one last job with Moroccan Oil a couple months along, then kept testing throughout my pregnancy. Partly to document the moment, partly to keep practicing in front of the camera. Posing with a bump was different, but I leaned into the challenge. Axton was born in November 2022.

The following October I booked New York Bridal Fashion Week with La Première. Behind all the sparkle and glamour was me on the train, back and forth from Connecticut, determined to be home with my baby overnight. Bo

Accessories take centre stage at Flying Solo’s @flyingsolonyc New York Fashion Week showcase, held in New York on September 13, 2026.

The presentation brought together statement headwear by Diane’s Millinery @dianesmillinery, clutches by Indus Threads @industhreads, and jewellery by Emerose Jewelry @emerose.jewelry, styled across a series of striking runway looks.

A celebration of individuality, craftsmanship and the art of accessorising on the NYFW runway.
