Phew… this weekend truly went by in the blink of an eye. 💛

It’s hard to believe some of these smiling faces I met at 3 years old are now graduating high school. From grad parties to watching them walk across the stage, this weekend was full of moments I’ll never forget.

When I think of one word to describe being part of their lives all these years, I keep coming back to honored. Blessed. Maybe both.

I’ve received sweet thank you’s from both the kids and their parents, but honestly… thank God. Thank God for allowing me the privilege of walking alongside them through deep valleys, mountaintop moments, and everything in between.

And the blessing didn’t stop there. These kids have also loved, encouraged, and poured into my own daughter over the years. That’s what biblical community is all about — doing life together, carrying one another, and pointing each other back to Jesus through every season. 🤍

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 💛 ASHER WILLIAMS 💙

Asher is planning to attend Ouachita Baptist University in the fall and major in political science as he works toward eventually becoming a lawyer. His favorite memory was playing with “Nasty Nate” late in the season during his junior year and winning conference “with ease” against Davis and Seth, followed by playing #1 singles his senior year. Asher would like to thank Coach Green and Coach B for teaching him how to be a leader for the team and ultimately showing him a good way to look at life: give everything you have and only change the things you can control.

Senior week recap 🥳💫

“Proud” doesn’t even begin to cover what I feel for this group of kids. 🥹

I’ve had the honor of being part of their lives for years—some of them since they were just tiny 2-year-olds in my Pre-K class. What a gift it’s been to not only watch them grow up, but to watch them grow in their faith and their relationship with Him. That kind of growth… it changes you as the one witnessing it, too.

Now, the time is coming where I’ll be saying “see ya later” as they step into the next chapter—chasing dreams, discovering purpose, and walking the paths God has laid out for them. And while I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead, there’s a bittersweet ache in knowing this season is coming to a close.

Last night was one I’ll never forget. Our First Students senior class showed up to support two of our own in Hadestown, and it was everything—laughter, cheering, proud tears, and those quiet moments where it all just hits you at once. The entire cast did an incredible job, and seeing our students shine so brightly in the gifts God has given them was truly something special.

These kids… they’re going to do amazing things. And I’ll be right here, cheering them on every step of the way. 💛 🫶🏻🫶🏻
