I was severely undercaffeinated for this one.

Quick detour from my primary training but when @asherbum.fi puts on a dope event like this, you pull up. Got a chance to participate in my 2nd strongman event and learn how painful a real farmers carry can be (don't attempt if you value the use of your hands). Lifting heavy 💩 w the guys is just too fun of an opportunity to pass up.

But I'm definitely looking forward to more strongman comps down the road and finally getting a win on that 300lb bag🤝🏾

The Legal Lifter 😎

Growing up, I would watch strongman competitions hoping some day I would be able to compete in one. However, I never followed through with that goal because I was never strong enough to compete. That changed last weekend.

I signed up for this competition to force myself to continue working out throughout law school finals. The past two months of training were intense. 7 days a week, no days off, but man was it worth it.

I ended up taking first place in my first stongman competition, winning the over head press, dead lift, and hercules hold events and taking third place in the sand bag carry. More importantly, I achieved a long time goal of mine. Looking forward to the next one.

Expanding w the side quests.

All 4 of us competed in strongman for the first time yesterday. All 4 of us made podium. Safe to say strongman may become a new side hobby - on to the Open division for the next.
