🩶Today @mother.aiff EP, A Simple Procedure is out on @delusional_records 🩶 Limited plum pressing shipping next week! 🩶 A1 A Simple Procedure A2 Sublingual A3 Metamorpher B1 Angel Gossip B2 There Are Two Rooms B3 A Simple Procedure ( @laenzzz Rewired Remix) In A Simple Procedure, Michelle Roginsky evokes the bleak and euphoric duality of femme embodiment — the soundtrack to an unreleased body horror film narrated by ethereal ambience and driving dancefloor grooves. The title track begins with sweeping, densely-textured synths disintegrating into a foreboding bassline, humming steadily alongside tidal waves of ominous arpeggios and plodding drums reminiscent of 90s trip-hop. In Sublingual, body-shaking club drums become a vessel for distorted vocals and granulated textures as they pass through thick membranes of saliva-drenched bass. Metamorpher follows with a hypnotic 4x4 trip that metabolizes deep anxious grooves into a rave-ready wiggler, while Angel Gossip keeps the blood flowing with a pounding peak-time techno roller guaranteed to keep the floor locked. Finally, There Are Two Rooms sends us off with a pensive meditation of wailing synths and dark, Lynchian ambience — the final scene of a dream half-remembered upon waking from anaesthesia. NYC’s Laenz delivers the epilogue with a shaking, subterranean remix of A Simple Procedure, injecting the opening track’s textures into the fissures of deep and trembling grooves. I did some background visuals for @aqeelaadamsound and @blankfor.ms new VST Outgrowth. Tyler then ran it through analog video effects. I think it turned out great, and the VST is so much fun. I literally spent hours transforming the only audio I apparently had on my ipad which was me dragging cement blocks on the pavement. Cudo's to you both!!

It’s Bandcamp Friday & Im humbling asking for your support on my newest EP, Astral Intervals! In the same breath, I want to express my gratitude for all the community support thus far. I have already shipped out half of the America stock! 🤯Im continually hopeful that this little cosmic EP will reach all ends of the world & connect us universally. Life can feel like its moving so quickly at times; thus writing this EP over two and a half years was a practice of refinement, rhythm and really taking the time to explore music through a new lens- that of planetary harmony. I started writing this EP while reading numerous books on orbital resonance, cosmic harmony & tonal zodiacs. At this point, studying musical metaphysics has turned in to somewhat of an obsession. So, it seemed fitting to create a unified body of work connecting planets, constellations & orbital patterns to pitch, BPM & rhythm. This EP was different, as each track came quickly once I sat down with a creative direction, but the body of work itself took longer than any other EP I have worked on. It was a humbling process to say the least. Im similarly humbled & slightly extensional, when I think of the vastness of the universe and its galaxies. Maybe it’s all there to remind us to be in community & work with natures patterns, like seasons, tides & moon phases- all driven by astronomical forces. And similarly this EP is just a little star in an array of endless media & streaming, but what YOU have reminded me with the journey, is Astral Intervals is a part of a constellation and it lives in a beautiful microcosm. Thus, thank you for receiving, supporting & sharing this record. I love yew all so much. This is a little photo journal of sound design sessions, mudslides & tides and cosmic readings & diagrams. ⋆ ☄︎. ·˚ * 🔭 1st 📷 by @_feel_thyself_ All vinyl art & design by @ashfarrand.design
