Switzerland 🇨🇭

This place is unreal, and we were lucky to have come at a beautiful time of year! Every direction is epic, and everything is ridiculously expensive…

It was so lovely to spend time with good friends, Dan & Laura, who took great care of us and showed us around.

One more brief stop in London before we come home 🇦🇺

Ennis, County Clare 🇮🇪 + Cliffs of Moher, Galway, and Blarney Castle.

19 years ago I came to this town for Christmas with my family. I have both vivid and vague memories of it, the smell of the fire coming from the chimney’s were the most nostalgic. My dad’s side live over here, and it’s always such a treat to see them - how great do they look too!

This was the most special part of our trip so far for me. Not only is this a beautiful country, with the kindest people, but it holds a lot of memories for me - memories of my beautiful Mum and my adoring Nan. I wish we were here longer! There’s always next time…

I love Ireland, I really do ❤️

We made it back to the motherland 🇮🇪

Hands down the best Guinness on earth, straight from source. This place is full of surprises around every corner, and pubs in every second building - each one with either a wild origin tale, an obnoxious exterior paint job, or 10,000 people in a 500 pax room… usually all 3.

Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Adelaide of the UK!

One of the things you see a lot in this side of the world is art. Such a big variety of art, and what I love doing is taking inspiration from older art and applying it to my photographs.

I’m always drawn to photos in art exhibitions but more than anything, I am inspired by the landscape paintings of old cities. I love what an artist can achieve with some paint and a brush; and I study the way they work with contrast and light - which I feel is becoming more apparent in my photographs.

I’m loving the simplicity of the @fujifilmx_au X100VI - a high resolution sensor with a fixed lens. I don’t have to think, I can just frame up and shoot. One of the most important elements of street photography is trusting your camera; to know it as an extension of your body. I can trust this camera. It’s wild to me how much we emphasise equipment and variety as amateurs, and then we yearn for simplicity as we progress — less is more.

I’m taking some of my favourite photos of my life, and it’s taking no effort whatsoever. The dream.

Glasgow is a city that just let me shoot it. It looked good from all angles. Its light showed off its beauty and its shadows tried to cover its imperfections. Unlike the grandeur of London or the intricacy of Edinburgh, Glasgow showed me a humility like my hometown; it doesn’t stand out in an impressive way but in the way it encourages you to slow down. From old buildings and gothic archways, to lovely gardens and suburban weaves — Glasgow is just Glasgow and I think that’s what makes it great.

Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿- easy on the eyes, tough on the thighs.

Incredible place this. Had the best Guinness of the trip so far here (outdone by the Guinness Storehouse), saw some incredible buildings and can now say I’ve been to both the Adelaide & Edinburgh Fringe (we do it better).
