A better future is possible 🤍

Not because it is inevitable, but because people - people like the labor movement who fought for the eight-hour work day, and conservationists who preserved our national parks, and the 100 @newvoters high school fellows at our four day summit who each led community organizing projects and voter registration drives and registered thousands of their classmates to vote - are willing to build it.

The USA is 250 years old, and the promise of liberty and justice for all remains unfulfilled. We’ve come a long way. We have a long way to go. But through knowing these students and their work and their convictions, I’ve never been more convinced that we’ll get there.

and there’s one thing I have to say: you better vote!

It is such a gift to be part of this team, running 250 voter registration drives across the United States. I’m excited to continue working with and learning from these amazing minds.

Polarization isn’t abstract. It shows up in our classrooms, our group chats, and our communities.

As selected Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness, our New Voters team is working on practical ways to strengthen media literacy and make civic conversations more productive. We’re collaborating across schools, testing ideas, and learning as we go.

Swipe to meet the team and see what we’re building! Then have one real conversation this week with someone who thinks differently than you. #CYLEngage&Inspire
