So grateful to be a member of the volleyball community 🥳🏐 World Volleyball Day is a reminder of all the amazing people I’ve gotten to know and build relationships with — three kids in this pic went D1 in something other than volleyball (track&field, band, basketball), a few went on to play D2 and D1 volleyball, two of these kids are now engaged and getting married soon, and they’re all going to make the world a better place! This Volleyball Village is such a blessing to experience as a coach. The kids really are alright🩷 #WorldVolleyballDay #Coach #Village #Community

Hey! I’m Coach Alexis!
I decided to make an instagram page for what I do as a volleyball coach in Wichita, KS!! As both a high school varsity head coach and a club coach in the area, I’ve had such great experiences and memories with this sport.

I grew up in Dodge City, KS and was a multisport athlete all through high school before playing juco volleyball at Pratt CC and DC3. My background is a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in education, with 13+ years of coaching experience.

I spent three years as the head coach of Wichita East High School where my program went 60-29 overall and had 9 athletes who have received college volleyball scholarship offers; 6 that have pursued opportunities at JUCO, NAIA, DII, and DI programs. At the end of the 2020 season, I was selected as a Co-Coach of the Year for the Greater Wichita Area League. My past 4 years have been spent at Maize South High School where the program is currently 130-34 since the fall of 2022 with 10 athletes who have received college volleyball scholarship offers; 5 that have pursued opportunities at JUCO, DII, and DI programs. At the end of the 2023 season, I was selected as the Coach of the Year for the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League - Division 1.

Maize South Volleyball has finished as the 3rd Place Team in 5A for the KSHSAA State Championships in both 2023 and 2025 under my leadership. The AVCA Thirty under 30 list named me in its 2024 class of coaches for the high school division.

I’ll probably make a post about my club volleyball background too— but there was too many good pics to share from school volleyball. I’m excited to share my volleyball life on here!! Stay tuned for some training posts 🏐🩷 #coach #volleyball #firstpost
