I was fixated on how tight this dress was on me. Ugh, that mid-life midsection belly had me like 🫣

And then someone said —WOW—your curves have that dress fitting like a glove.

That tiny shift in focus caused me to embrace the curves. See the dress, the night, and me for what it was- perfection in the moment.

And I had the night of my life.

Shout-out to the queens who captured some of these gorgeous moments: @ashleyetello amd @heidijfit .

Found this dress at one of my faves- @namedroppers ❤️

📸Now, where do you need a tiny shift in focus?

There was business, obviously.
But there was also dressing up. Women building things differently. Conversations about power and what happens when we stop trying to fit ourselves into models that weren’t built for us.
🌀 There was friendship that feels like a red thread of fate through my life. Together, apart, and together again.
There were conversations about reclaiming words like bitch, cunt, whore and all the ways language and stories have been used to keep women in line.

There was friendship. Play. Big ideas. A lot of laughing. A lot of feeling.

@legacylablive was a PORTAL.

And I’m still integrating.

But I loved it with my whole heart and my whole ass.

Standing in my kitchen on a random Monday night, prepping potatoes and chicken to feed 30 soccer girls tomorrow, I had one of those little realizations that feels bigger than it should.

Taking care of people through food has always been a part of me.

Long before spirituality found me, before I had all the language around healing, energy, nourishment, and holding space for people, I was doing this.

I love making food for people.

Not just because I love to cook, but because there is something about feeding someone that feels deeply personal to me. Making sure there is enough. Making something delicious. Thinking about what someone might need. Remembering the person who can’t eat certain things and making sure there is something for them too.

I love making people feel seen, nourished, and taken care of.

Since July, Bobby and I have had the opportunity to cater several events together, and it has made this part of me even more obvious. We get to create food that is nourishing and really freaking good, while also paying attention to the person who has the allergy, the dietary restriction, or the thing they usually have to navigate at events where nobody thought to consider them.

There is something really special about watching someone realize, “Wait, I can eat this too? You made this for me?”

That matters to me.

And tonight, standing here in my kitchen, it hit me that maybe this has always been one of my forms of medicine.

Not everything that heals us has to look spiritual.

Sometimes it looks like a cutting board covered in potatoes.

Sometimes it looks like a giant pan of chicken.

Sometimes it looks like making sure there is enough food for everyone.

Sometimes it looks like noticing the person who might otherwise be overlooked and making sure they feel considered.

Maybe this was always part of who I was.

I just didn’t always recognize it as the gift that it is. 🤍

Ze feathers le earrings.

I like Feathers, Art and Cosmic Creations! #creativegenius #justdoinme #buymyartbeforeimdead

Adding Feathers to earrings gives profound symbolism of freedom, transcendence, and travel between the realms of the physical and spiritual world.

By wearing feather earrings, you symbolically express your desire to be on a journey-a journey of spiritual growth, enlightenment, and the pursuit of a higher purpose.…. So much purpose.

We had an awesome 4th with some fun friends! We made the best of the rain and played some fun games, and had yummy food!
The fireworks were great on the Lake, and we loved relaxing on the river. Loved sitting around the fire with everyone with good music and convos.

@zenelihealing Thank you to my amazing friend Ashley, who came up with her family and stayed with us, it was awesome getting to spend time with them and enjoyed some of the yummy food Ben made! I cherish all the time we get to hang out!

And thanks to our good friends since 2011 Dustin and Rach for coming up, such a blast watching our kids grow and laughing at all our funny memories! Thanks for all the laughs!
