@fourwallswhiskey was featured in today’s Muse by @clioawards and it’s all about their new OOH campaign “It’s 10 PM, do you know where your friends are?” It comes from the brilliant minds of the guys from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia @charlie_day @glennhowerton and @robmackofficial. As the brand’s CMO @ashleypurdum said: “We knew we wanted the whole campaign to be PSAs, because it’s something the team actually believes people need reminding of: good times are good for you. That’s the brand’s whole reason for being: “Come on in, spend more time together within our four walls.” And bars are great places to connect. We watched a LOT of old ads for inspiration, and the 10 p.m. line made sense to tie back to “it’s five o’clock somewhere” and traditional happy hour timing.” And we’re just getting started! Be on the lookout at one of the 1,500 LinkNYC kiosks in Manhattan and Brooklyn that will flash the brand’s message twice daily, at 5 and 10 p.m. | #client

Ass Pocket Whiskey… If you look into the story behind the name it adds an element of history fitting to the cofounder, Derek Trucks. During the Juke joints of the late 19th through mid 20th century which were Black-owned, informal social clubs, bars, and dance halls that thrived in the segregated south. Musicians would ask, “you got any ass pocket on you?” Which posed the question to share the flask in your pocket. I like the story, the artist, and the juice. It’s an easy sipper packed with huge flavor. Waste no time and slide one in your pocket.

Sipping @asspocketwhiskey with Derek Trucks backstage at the Beacon before his sold-out @tedeschitrucksband show was the kind of afternoon that makes this job hard to complain about. The conversation was as good as the bourbon. Read the interview at my link in bio.

From my man Derek Trucks comes another really fun release… this time Ass Pocket Whiskey: 20 year Tennessee whiskey 117.6 and DAMN.... hello! Dark apple and a bit leathery with this like crunchy pie crust ,rich oak, thick texture, and a long finish that really hangs on. Usually for me, once whiskey starts getting this high in age, the oak can sometimes take over a little too much… but not here. The oak is really well balanced with dark candied apple notes, and it has that thick mouthfeel that coats the palate in a way you want it to. What I appreciate is that this feels like something picked by someone who genuinely loves whiskey. It drinks with intention. Nothing overdone, nothing chasing age just to chase age just really enjoyable whiskey. I’ve been lucky enough to share some pours with Derek over the years, and I’ll say this… I’m a big fan of his palate. He always seems drawn to things that have character, and I think that shows here. And yes… still love these easy to carry bottles 😂 Really fun pour. DRINK YOUR WHISKEY! Cheers 🥃 #whiskey #tennessee #limited #drinks #saturday
