Title 📖: Bone Year by @ashleyrodonovan Rating: 4 ⭐️ Thank you to the author for the eArc in exchange for an honest review 🫶 I finished this back in the beginning of sept, but life has been been life-ing. Thankfully I had my reviews up so I can copy and paste it now I've made the time to make content for it! Go past me!! Maelis is traumatized and haunted by her father's death. He was a world renowned healer and he started teaching her as soon as she could walk. After her father's passing she can't heal due to her panic & anxiety attacks. I am loving the rep here! But there's a prophecy.. or rather an excerpt from the Academy.. Same, same, but different okiee🤣 “The Cycle has never broken. It only waits. And when it returns, it will demand a healer capable of choosing which lives deserve to be saved.” — Excerpt from The Ashwell Academy Founding Chronicle Guess who's a healer? Yeah that's right. We now know who, it's obviously ya FMC 😌 and obviously homegirl is going to go said academy, and be said healer. Let's gooo! Nicknames 😏: Little Boner. Freckles. Little Human. Red. My thoughts/blurb 💭: Harry Potter meets Grey's Anatomy meets Fourth Wing?! Veilgaurds are the most elite battlefield healers, trained to heal both humans and magical races. They are needed to stand a chance against the monsters that crawl out of fissures. Bleh! The loud audible gasp I took when I read "I pray it is not in my lifetime, or hers." IYKYK!!! GAHH, after her run in with that zombie like creature, you know theirs gonna be some crazier monsters! The different signets for each chapter!? So cool! Mai is giving Hermione Granger in the best of ways hahaha You know a book is going to be good when you audibly gasp in spanish by page 21. Several pages later you go, no waaay. Only to hit a page not long after that second moment and say "Wooah." Animal companions, saaaay less. I crushed this in a day and a bit. It was so easy to read. Do recommend! #arcreview #boneyear #ashleyrodonovan #romantasy

Eight limbs and sticky webs mean we can catch a lot of fantastic bugs!🕷️🕸️ Just kidding. We aren’t actually spiders.🚫 But we do love books, and these incredible novels have captured our attention and kept it. So we pretended to be able to stick them to a web, because we’re just that creative, mkay? Many of these are rereads or comfort reads because they’re just that good. (Please note that a couple books are currently traditionally published, but we included them because they started out indie.) Indie Authors: We are tagging you! We love your stories!🫶 READERS: That’s right. Your TBR isn’t long enough yet. If it doesn’t wrap around the Earth 🌎🌍 twice, is it really even a TBR? QOTD: How many books are on your TBR?📚 #bibliophile #indieauthorlove #fantasyreaders #tbrstack

Bone Year 📚 Review Having the opportunity to read anything written by Ashley is an absolute honor. She writes in such a way that keeps you engaged and needing to know what's coming next. Bone Year did not disappoint! Maelis Rose, our FMC is introduced to us as a healer in a small village with an angel for a best friend, maybe... more? Without spoiling anything, I truly loved her storyline and where she ends up. And Draven, our handsome, broody, but a*hole "love interest" makes for a delicious male lead, despite being somewhat of a bully at the beginning. By the end of the story I absolutely needed more Draven! I truly appreciated the twists and turns throughout the story. I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting to know what happens next. I would highly recommend! ⭐: 5 🌶️: 2
