One of my most pleasurable experiences here at Clemson, has been being apart of Clemson's Undergraduate Student Senate. I interviewed onto Senate back in January 2017, then I compiled together a campaign, and ran to get a seat back on, in March! It was an honor to be re-elected. As an undergraduate student senator, it is my duty to serve students, vote/draft up legislation, and create tangible change on the campus of Clemson University. It has been an honor to serve as a senator for the University Services committee, where I serve as vice-chair for the 2017 term. We meet every Monday night, listening to different speakers, voting on legislation, and giving updates to projects various senators are working on! However, Senate has been more than just an impactful, influential organization; it has brought the brightest people into my life, and given me mentors that I will forever call my dearest friends.
It has been a joy to bring projects to life such as the first Clemson Food Summit, and vote on various Capital Improvement projects; in which Senate last term allocated money towards Tiger Band's new marimba instruments.

Tonight marks the last night we'll all be serving in this room together. Words can't express how thankful I am for the opportunity to be with y'all in CUSG Student Senate. All of you have been an integral part of my experience here, and I want to give a special thank you to Janay for all your wise words, hilarious jokes, caring mentorship, and genuine support. Thank you for this term, and I can't wait for the next one. I wouldn't want to spend my Monday nights with anyone else💜✊🏼

After Senate trips to Cookout and long talks with each of these people have made my time here on Senate; simply amazing. To Willie, to Rachel, to Lauren, and most of all my beloved mentor Janay. You helped me run an intentional, driven, campaign, and you have given me the spark I needed in order to continue to make change on this campus. For that I thank you!😊
