Cheers to another year! 🥂This year for my birthday I didn’t plan anything, I just wanted to enter the new year quietly.

But the way my friends and family showed up for me this year was so special. Thank you!

Thank you for celebrating me even when I didn’t want to celebrate myself! This year has been such a blessing and I’m just grateful!

Somebody reminded me that I walked across my last stage for my law school hooding 10 years ago this week. Law school was my version of an (early) midlife crisis. I woke up one day and realized something needed to shift drastically if I was going to be able to give Bailey the opportunities she deserved. So I registered for the LSAT during my off period the next day, sat for that exam 3 weeks later, and walked into the lobby at Thurgood Marshall School of Law 6 months after that.

Today, (in the middle of the hot ass Houston afternoon) I watched Bailey and her friends line dance and pose for photos during Senior Step Up. Talk about a full circle moment. I can’t believe she’ll be graduating next spring, but I’m so excited to see where life takes her. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the freedom and privilege to watch her chart her own journey.

Watching kids grow up to play the game they love, & have success is rewarding because I remember when they were born & just started out on their journey! I love them all & want them to enjoy the process. Also to have them play in my @otrexposure events makes me feel extremely old. Lol

So much can change in a year 🖤✨ If someone would have told me that I would be hosting wellness events, working on my Masters and running multiple businesses last January, I would have laughed. The way God is orchestrating my life feels like poetry in motion. It rained in my head for months, now look at all the flowers….
