i truly couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to debut my first solo set:,) from the song to concept to costumes to choreography i enjoyed every second of creating and pouring my heart into this piece. a huge thank you to my beautifully talented cast for putting their heart and soul into this piece i love you all so much and it was an honor to have each and every one of you be part of this journey🖤 recently in my professional career i found myself more and more missing contemporary as it used to be such a central part of my dancing and where my roots are. i missed the raw emotion and freedom i felt with contemporary where it felt like i could completely unhinge myself and let go, so that was the exact goal i had for this dance. i think every dancer can attest to the fact that at one point or another perfectionism becomes all consuming and you quickly lose yourself in it and in my journey of reconnecting w contemporary i wanted to acknowledge this as battling perfectionism and burnout has been a large part of my dance journey throughout all phases of it. and so i wanted to dedicate this dance to the journey of discovering and rediscovering one’s love and passion for dance for the art and expression of it free from the pressure of perfection. this was a very personal and cathartic performance for me and i’m so grateful i got to share this piece of me at one of my favorite shows in the world🖤

and of course i gotta say it one more time: as above so below, as within so without, as the universe so the soul🖤

a bit of a late post but i had THE MOST FUN performing with my fellow dolls at World of Dance Dallas!!! never thought i’d be able to experience something like this, the energy together onstage was unmatched 🤩🥹🫶 thank you sososo much to our directors and choreographers for all the effort they had invested into this us and this set 🥺💞 go watch the full thing on @the_piecemaker’s page!!!!
