In California I just read tons of stories and asked time to sit me right next to my loved ones and I wrote a lot down again. I am finding new things that interest me- things I didn’t know existed before, or things I never thought I’d care about, and sometimes they’re so absurd I just have to laugh at myself! It feels so good to be free enough to like anything I want hehe.

thank you for giving us the opportunity to share how sacred something as seemingly small and simple a ‘teahouse’ can be. I used to think I had to try and explain what we were, but as time has passed I realize that we are something different to everyone who walks through our doors, and that’s the magic of this space.

thank you to all who protect this space and community in trying times.

too many more chance encounters, moments with tea, moments of coming back to ourselves and each other and to always walking each other home 🛖

if you’ve been to daylight…. how would you describe it?

slowly normalizing daytime lounges where everything is cozy and thoughtful and inviting and where we want you to post up all day. this is a space to be held by tea, our hosts, and the energy of our space 🕯️ a space when youre looking for inspiration or focus. thank you to everyone who continues to visit and share your time with us

we’ve been hosting special offerings including cacao and ethiopian coffee. daylight is always a suprise 🧚🏽

“We like to think of the Teahouse as a river”

Were words given to me when I was approaching how to capture @tea__at__shiloh.

I came across @shiloh.iii page in 2020 even before the Teahouse existed, it was just videos of a well designed room with avant music, together that intrigued me to follow the account. Through the following year I watched as the Teahouse was constructed and brought to life.

When I was planning a trip to LA the Teahouse was top priority, and since I’ve enjoyed Shi’s playlists so much, I wanted to do a favor in return and the least I could do was capture the Teahouse when I was there.

I thought it would be best to capture Daylight and a Nightime events to be able to illustrate the duality and contrast of how the Teahouse looks in its different forms and functions. At first I was thinking about just slicing it down the middle with a white line but ended up being too harsh, so ended up with a curvy line that resembles a river.

Thank you to all the wonderful people that I got to meet at the Teahouse. I hope to be back soon.

I could just sit here and chew your ear off on how I’m in awe of all the beautiful inspiring people in my life. Here’s a little sneak peak into some (not all) of the people that make me believe and hope for a truly heart-driven world. You all are hard working wizards with the ability to see, manifest and transform the profane into something truly sacred — and I don’t say it lightly. I am in awe. 🕊️🤍
