Athena or Medusa? 🐍⚔️

One carries courage. The other carries wrath. Which goddess do you relate to more? Or are you a little of both? 🖤

Fun fact about me! I’ve been completely obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology, gods, goddesses, and all their stories for as long as I can remember. One of my dreams is to write a book inspired by them someday. ♥️

Have you ever stopped looking for the light and learned to own your darkness instead? 🖤

There is a different kind of power in no longer being afraid of the parts of yourself that once scared you.

Somewhere along the way, she stopped waiting to be saved and became her own damn queen. 👑

I love putting together personalized packages like these. 🩷 Everything is signed by me, and I always tuck in a few little extras because I just can’t help myself. 😂

There’s something about packing up my books and knowing they’re going to someone’s home that truly makes my heart happy. 🥹🩷

If you’re interested in a personalized package, just DM me. 🩷

From Up Here

From up here
the borders seem a little embarrassing.

Thin lines
drawn across a perfectly good planet,
as if the Earth
had asked us to colour inside them.

There are no countries from here,
just weather.

No flags,
just forests turning slowly beneath clouds,
oceans carrying their blue
around everything we have ever argued about.

You can see the scars, though.

Cities glowing late into the night,
roads stitching themselves
through fields that once knew better.

Mines opening their mouths.
Rivers carrying things
they were never meant to carry.

Smoke rising
from somewhere we will later call
someone else’s problem.

We have been clever.

Clever enough to split the atom,
teach machines to think,
put footprints on the Moon
and send photographs home
from the edge of the solar system.

And somehow
we still haven’t worked out
how to sit at the same table.

From here,
our wars look particularly strange.

Thousands of years of civilisation
and we are still drawing circles
around ourselves
and deciding who belongs inside them.

Still frightened of strangers.
Still measuring worth
in money, power, land.

Still finding new ways
to take from a place
we cannot possibly own.

But then—

somewhere in the darkness
a kitchen light comes on.

Someone makes tea
for someone who had a bad day.

A child laughs in the back of a car.

A nurse stays late.

A stranger holds a door.

Someone plants something
they will never sit beneath.

A father carries
a sleeping child upstairs
and pauses at the bedroom door
for no particular reason
except that one day
he knows he won’t have to.

And from up here
those things matter.

Perhaps more than we realise.

Because the planet isn’t asking us
to be perfect.

It has survived
our best intentions
and our worst ones.

It keeps turning.

Green where it can.
Blue where it must.
Quietly carrying
every terrible thing we’ve done
alongside every beautiful thing
we’ve tried to undo.

Maybe that is the strange miracle of us.

That despite everything—

We keep making music.

We keep falling in love.

We keep telling stories
about people who aren’t here anymore.

We keep looking after one another
when nobody is watching.

And perhaps,
if we could
