Light and renewal ☀️
.
The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year for those living in the North. When the Sun reaches its highest point. A powerful moment of abundance, light and connection to nature. Through many civilisations, there have been monuments aligned with this Sunrise to help track time and organize harvest cycles. And also, bonfires and gatherings for the special date.

Forty years ago, Larry Harvey and a group of friends gathered in San Francisco and burned a wooden figure. That was the start of Burning Man, so sharing our Summer Solstice cleanup with this community on their anniversary was just perfect. While civilizations change, the human desire to celebrate light, creativity, and connection remains remarkably constant. 🔥☀️✨

The Summer brought renewal. Thank YOU to every founding Care Buddy who joined our first cleanups. We will be sharing plans privately with our community for the next Autumn Equinox cleanup event in September. Would love to have you there to discover together what comes next ✨

‘So comes snow after fire, and even dragons have their ending!’ J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit 🐉
.
That quote in your skin reminds me of your power. And as a dragon’s life ends, this shire wishes to have calm.

The calm of knowing it won’t happen again 🤍

Unexpected Glow ✨
.
In deep appreciation of the gift received this morning. Hurricane season is officially here and it’s been cloudy and rainy. Woke up 5:40am with Ash’s snout next to me. Feeling really energized as I’m doing a Detox, so I decided to have my morning paddle despite of a cloudy forecast. Sunrises are always my favorite, but I didn’t expect much today. So, when the sun showed us his face among the clouds it was extra special 🥰

Heart Island Headquarters: Clean 🤍✅
.
Sunday 7:11am. Boards, PFDs, first aid kit, knives, scissors, bags, globes, drinks, etc… who will show up?

Before the sun did, friends started popping. One lacked a fin, gave her an extra board. PFDs were missing, I had plenty. Other hiccups were solved, and we had 30 hands and 4 paws ready for Action! 🎬

When we got to the Island Ash was the first one to jump in, finding a ball on arrival!!! The best moment 🤣🎾

We collected around 100lbs of trash consisting mostly of smaller microplastics, broken glass bottles of alcohol, plastic cutlery and containers, and bigger pieces of wooden pallets boaters leave behind to use as seats.

This Sunday, March 22nd 2026 was the start of something new. On World Water day, my community showed up to say YES to a chapter of love for our Bay. And together, we will keep caring for her as a part of us.

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us!!! 🥰

Special thanks to @ridepadl & @waterdogpaddle for the extra boards provided for the event 🤙🏻

CALL FOR ACTION 📢
We need a BOAT to carry large items, and support to cover expenses. DM if you can help. Lezzgooo✨🚀

May I have this dance? 🐬✨
.
Starting this week with intention… after a magical dance with the pod.

We’re celebrating something close to our hearts — we officially ADOPTED an island we love. A commitment to protect it, keep it clean, and invite our community to be part of something bigger.

This is just the beginning. We’re gathering soon to clean the island and set a shared intention: to care for the land as an extension of ourselves.

As they say in Hawaiʻi, mālama ʻāina — take care of the land, and the land will take care of you.

Comment MALAMA if you want to learn more 🌊

Special thanks to @mj_algarra from @cleanthisbeachup for her kind guidance and friendship 🤍

Snow Moon Surf 🌚
.
Just a little bit more is exactly what these hot blooded surfers had in their heads when the moon was rising on Sunday. I had planned on diving, but used to tropical weather feared I wouId suffer the same fate of Iguanas. When I got to the beach, I noticed the Hunger moon had opened Miami’s appetite for waves. It was the coldest day I have ever experienced here, and the cold front show was fun to watch. From shore. With tea and @ashthegoldendood to keep me warm. Kudos to all the surfers out there 🏄‍♂️

Big shout out to @waterwomencollective_miami for always keeping us on the loop 🤙🏻

Otterly fabulous day! 🦦
.
Nothing I’d rather do,
Than floating down a river with you 🌈

Find some otters along the way,
Learn there’s never too much weight 🤪

@sefora_chavarria 🧚🏻‍♀️✨
.
A camping adventure in the Springs recently gave me a much needed dose of stargazing. There were many beautiful moments, but this day was special. I asked our friend that was leaving to come with me and drop off my car at the end of the River. When he left, we jumped in for a 5hr adventure down the river on my board with my fairy good friend Sef and Ash.

I originally floated behind with my fins looking under the aquatic grasslands for wildlife. I also really wanted to see otters. I had seen one on the distance on my first day, and another one briefly on the second day. But on this quiet paddle we finally got to see a few of them playing around, and it was the first time in my life watching them underwater. What a treat! Those are the moments I seek 🥰

Ash got a shower before jumping in the board to stay fresh as the water is so pure service dogs are allowed on the board but can’t swim. He was a good boy besides all the different things around him. Those old prehistoric looking turtles (Florida softshell turtle and Suwannee alligator snapping turtle) were quite a new thing, and he did have some jumps when seeing them. At least he didn’t see the gator the prior day 🐊

The river is pretty cold after a while, so I jumped on the board half way through. I was so surprised to see my inflatable could carry Sef, Ash, a heavy camera, me, my fins and our bags! 🏄‍♀️
