Happy National Sober Day 💛

There are millions of people struggling with alcohol and addiction, and I know how easy it can be to believe that this is just who you are, that you’ll never be able to change, that you’ve gone too far, or that life without the thing you’re dependent on isn’t possible.

I’m here to tell you that there is hope.

I never could have imagined the life I have today when I was drinking and using. Sobriety gave me back pieces of myself I didn’t even realize I had lost. It gave me relationships, peace, purpose, faith, and the ability to actually be present for my own life. If you’re struggling today, please know that you are not alone. You are not hopeless. You don’t have to figure out the rest of your life tonight. You just have to make it through today.

There is a life on the other side of addiction. I know because I’m living it. 🤍

turned 32 💕 threw a pajama party with my birthday twin & bestie @courtcremm (who turned 26) i am so lucky to have such incredible friends who show up on the good days and the not so good ones. life is a beautiful and messy gift that i try not to take for granted. you all mean the world to me. the little girl in me who was shy and scared and moved around all the time is sooooo unbelievably overwhelmed with gratitude to have this chosen family today. you are home 💛

3 YEARS SOBER.

year 1 was about learning how to live without drugs & alcohol.
year 2 was about coping with life on life’s terms & learning what it means to be emotionally sober.
year 3 was about finding peace & serenity and having as much fun as possible. ☀️

the gifts of sobriety are endless. my life today is rich and full of beauty & love. thank you to my family for supporting me & asking questions & encouraging me. thank you to my friends who remind me every day how lucky i am. thank you to my boyfriend who is a true leading example of what it means to live a sober life. thank you to my babies coco & carter who have made my heart explode with joy and gratitude in the week we’ve had them.

thank you to God. i am renewed and restored every day because of Him.
