Ashtyn Nicole, you complete me! Thank you for showing me the ropes of the south, sharing every tear and laugh with me, and being my right hand man through it all. You have been my rock, my voice, and my heart since the day we got the keys to our freshman dorm, and I would give anything to do it all again. I hope this year is full of Orange Creme everything, sunshine and the ocean, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and face timing me every second of every day!!!!!!!! I took my cleats off for the last time a week ago.
I’m still adjusting and I think I will be adjusting for a while to how naked I feel without a stick in my hand.

I’ll never be able to thank this sport enough for all it has given me. A family, a way to move my body, an escape from my hometown and a chance to go to college.
Lacrosse wasn’t always the highlight of my college experience. Every athlete has their hard days and mental breakdowns. I will say that at the end of every day I was/ am still grateful for the ability to do what I love and my senior year really made it difficult for me to end this chapter. This is truly a healing game that has healed so many parts of me. Hitting the wall alone with my headphones on or jumping up and down in the 8 with my teammates after a goal. I’ll never forget the impact my girls had on who I am both as an athlete and a person. I’m thankful for every tear and laugh I got to have with that jersey on. Thank you, Mars Hill Women’s Lacrosse. You are forever a part of me. #3out
