I don’t give myself enough credit—but I really did this.

This was the first full creative project I’ve brought to life in a long time. The vision, the hair, the styling, the direction, the mood—every part of it came from me. I poured so much of myself into it, and what came back reminded me of what’s possible when I create from a place of joy and intention.

This video means a lot. It’s a love letter to #HERcurls turning 5, to the people who helped bring this to life, and to the version of me that’s choosing to expand—to stretch creatively, to lead with artistry, and to explore freely, while still honoring what I’ve built.

I’ve been doing hair for 10 years. HERcurls has been alive for 5. And I still love the work, the community, the culture we’ve created. But I’m also making space for new expressions—because I’m not just a hairstylist. I’m a creative. An artist. And I’m proud of what’s unfolding.

This may have been my vision, but it was never a solo journey.
Thank you to the beautiful souls who helped bring it to life:
Guru, for being my emotional support through it all.
Rodeo and Geovany, for styling with intention and care.
Mari and Cece, for assisting me in the hair magic.
Dani and Ashley, for the stunning makeup.
Yancy, for capturing it all so beautifully behind the lens.
Aaron, for filming this with so much thought and love.
And to the models—thank you for embodying the story and elevating the vision.

To anyone watching: put your headphones on. Feel it.
This is a celebration—and a stretch.

BEHIND THE SCENES ⚡️

What a special day, I am still buzzing from the energy we created on set. When I had the vision for a Five Year Shoot, I wanted to collaborate with local creatives and muses… so we all came together and made magic! I am filled with gratitude and cannot wait to share the final images and film.

Falling inlove again with modeling is my favorite thing so far. I’ve gained my passion as well as my drive back and honestly feels better than whatever I was going through before. I am grateful to everyone who always gave me a chance even when I was working with -1. I am forever grateful that I get to do something I manifested since I was a little girl. Everyday I step out overwhelmed with gratitude with my life. Forever Grateful to God, my motto as always is to be unapologetically boldly myself with all my flaws, imperfections, insecurities. I’ve learned to love every part of me and no better feeling than looking in the mirror and feeling proud of me ❤️
