Thank you so much Miss California 2026. If you didn't know this was my retirement pageant. I'm grateful I had this opportunity to try my best one last time and leave everything on the stage. Thank you to @latinqn13 for keeping me accountable to our deadlines and encouraging me throughout the year.

Thank you to the class of Miss California 2026. I'm inspired by and hopeful for the future because of you all. You are all so beautiful both inside and out. What a privilege it is to know you. Know you are the reason I loved this experience.

Thank you to my friends and family who supported me on this journey (extended post to come on my personal account.)

This is farewell from your Miss All-American City taking on the All-American challenge to get home safe. I'm driven by my love for you and it's been an honor.

Blessed,
Ashley Yao

Apologies notorious latergrammer
Thank you so much @lahungryghostfest 👻 for having me. What an honor to have my last event in this crown and sash be representing my culture and ancestors. I'm always so grateful for this community.

sister flew in for a pre-planned photoshoot but I just finished watching Voicemails for Isabelle so I couldn’t pass up the perfect opportunity to do this dance with my sister and in SF

#voicemailsforisabelle #sanfrancisco

thank you @victorhong.studio for filming!

some disclaimers:
- it’s hard to dance in a princess dress go figure
- yes I’m bouncing like an NPC penguin at the beginning 🙂‍↕️
- Ashley would like everyone to know she was just following me (even tho I also just learned it 5 min earlier too)

🎤 There's something powerful about watching someone find their voice in real time.
.
🎎 That's what the Miss Asian Global Pageant is really about. I attended the 40th Annual at San Francisco's Herbst Theatre last year, and beyond the stunning Ethnic Costume competition, what stayed with me was the heart of it — young women championing their culture, their communities, and each other.
.
👑 The longest-running Asian American pageant in the country, right here in SF. The 41st Annual crowns a new court this Saturday, 8/15. 💛
