While Lycan is stable and responding well to his treatment, Lotus is steadily declining from her liver cancer. Now we're just keeping her comfortable until she's ready to go in peace. I don't want her to suffer but it's still going to be incredibly difficult to make the call...

Exactly 6 years ago, I adopted this scraggly little pup from a rescue and instantly felt maternally bonded. We've been inseparable since and I need him just as much as he needs me. Even though he's only 6, he's been given a terminal diagnosis. I'm not sure how many more months or years I'll get with him, but I'll be here for him every step of the way. Happy gotcha day, Lycan. I love you.
