Enclosed by 3.5km of citadel walls at the very heart of Beijing, the palace museum served as the imperial residence for 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years, from 1420 to 1924. The Forbidden City is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

There are more than 300 temples in and outside of Chiang Mai, with around 117 of them inside the old city. I took a day tour with a woman from Brazil who was staying at the same hotel, and we had a a great day, then dinner together!

“The future depends on what we do today.”
Probably one of the most famous Indian personalities, Mahatma Gandhi is known for his efforts leading to the successful campaign for India’s independence from British rule. While he has many inspirational quotes, this one focuses on continuously working towards your goal!
🙌
I enjoyed this city, wandering through the winding road to the fort and all these buildings. We spent a night in the Thar desert nearby as well.

人生如梦，一尊还酹江月
Life is like a dream, and we should cherish the present moment like offering a toast to the moon reflected in the river.
This proverb encourages us to live in the present and appreciate the beauty of life.
🤩
It was extremely hot here - and we went for a bike ride in the countryside to enjoy the stunning landscape and meet some locals. The town is beside the Li river.

Yang” is the well-known antagonist to “yin” in Taoist philosophy and symbolises positivity, masculinity and light. “Shuo” means “new moon” in Chinese, so the implication is that, night or day, Yangshuo is one of the brightest places on earth.

The gold-leaf Buddha’s feet are 5 metres long and exquisitely decorated in mother-of-pearl illustrations of auspicious laksanas 15 metres tall, 46 metres long, so large that it feels like it’s been squeezed into the building.(characteristics) of the Buddha.
Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), is right behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha – it’s a must-see for any first-time visitor to Bangkok.

Ranked first, the world’s richest monarch, is King Maha Vajiralongkorn from Thailand, with a net worth of $43 billion. This extraordinary wealth comes from stakes in real estate in Bangkok, as well as ownership in the country’s largest cement company and bank. The Royal family no longer lives at the Grand Palace. It was built in 1782.

Alter at the #confusciustemple which was built in Yuan Dynasty (14th C), with a long history of more then 700 years. The Two groups of buildings constitute temple on the Left and College on the right regulation. It is where examinations were held!
I went here alone with our guide, who hadn’t visited for awhile, and it was a fascinating place!
Confucius used to say that: " I made up my mind to learn when I was 15." In his period, the whole society was in chaos, Confucius began to think what way he could change the chaos of the whole society. Confucius decided to devote himself changing the society into a harmonious one by learning knowledge. He learned knowledge by himself and from different people, he thought every people could be his teacher.

A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest, best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. The Buddhist mural paintings (covering an area of 2,100 m2 ) are of particular importance, as are the 157 statues.
