POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's been a few weeks now, but we can't stop thinking about what an amazing time we had at the 11th Annual #AsiaFest!🧧🐉

While the #DragonBoatRace certainly seemed to headline the day, did you know UCA WAVES volunteers came together from five cities and, after just three rehearsals, delivered a five-minute #bilingual performance of 三句半 (Three and a Half Sentences)?
Originally created for the 2026 United Chinese Americans - UCA Convention and #MentalHealth Summit in #LasVegas, the performance was adapted for Asia Fest to celebrate UCA WAVES’ decade of #impact.

If you missed it, don't fear—we've got you covered! You can watch the #performance now below, or by visiting the link⬇️

🌏🎉 Thank you, AsiaFest! 🎉🌏

What an incredible day celebrating culture, community, and connection! 💚💛

A huge thank you to @asianfocusnc for hosting such a fantastic event, and to everyone who stopped by the Chesterbrook Academy Cary booth to say hello! 🐆

We had an absolute blast meeting so many wonderful families, sharing what makes our school special, and being part of such a vibrant celebration of Asian cultures and traditions! 🌸✨

We loved every conversation, every smile, and every opportunity to connect with our local community.

Thank you for making the day so memorable! We can’t wait for next year! ❤️

Every year now, UCA WAVES joins Asian Focus NC for Asia Fest, a celebration of #Asianculture, community, and #connection. This year, we were excited to return with even more ways to connect, including our very own Water Eagles #dragonboat team, a Family Well-Being Booth, and a special #bilingual performance celebrating our 10th anniversary!🐲🎉

The #WaterEagles, made up largely of Karen youth, took on their first-ever dragon boat #competition after just four practices together. They learned to paddle, communicate, trust one another, and work as a #team in a remarkably short time. After improving their time in each race, the team earned a spot in the A bracket and finished third in their group, separated by just milliseconds. More importantly, the experience gave the #youth opportunities to build confidence, leadership, #teamwork, and resilience.

On stage, UCA WAVES #volunteers came together from five cities and, after just three rehearsals, delivered a five-minute bilingual performance of 三句半 (Three and a Half Sentences). Originally created for the 2026 UCA Convention and #MentalHealth Summit in Las Vegas, the performance was adapted for #AsiaFest to celebrate UCA WAVES’ decade of mental health work and community impact. The #performance brought together volunteers and community leaders, including United Chinese Americans - UCA President Haipei Xue and North Carolina CongresswomanMaria Cervania, who even joined rehearsals to learn her #Chinese lines!

Throughout the festival, our Family Well-Being Booth also gave us the opportunity to share mental health #education, resources, activities, and food while connecting with #community members.

From the racecourse to the stage and the community booth, Asia Fest was a wonderful reminder of what happens when people #cometogether to build connection, celebrate culture, and spread joy. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the day possible and proud of all the UCA WAVES #volunteers and youth who showed up, tried something new, and helped make this #celebration so special. To quote Lily, “The joy will go on!”😊💜

🥇 THE CBHPW REAL ESTATE WARRIORS BROUGHT HOME GOLD! 🐉💙

What a day at the 11th Annual Asia Fest at Koka Booth Amphitheatre hosted by @asianfocusnc! Our CBHPW Real Estate Warriors hit the water, gave it everything they had, and came together to take home GOLD in the Division B Consolation Final!🏆

From practices leading up to race day to every paddle stroke on the water, this team showed what HPW is all about. Everyone banded together, cheered each other on, and kept the energy high through every heat.

We couldn’t be prouder of this crew for representing CBHPW with teamwork, determination, and plenty of team spirit.

Congratulations, Real Estate Warriors! Way to bring home the GOLD!🥇🐉👏 #HelpingPeopleWin
