With the 3RS gone meet the new track weapon. Manual, Clubsport, PCCB’s with @ninemeister_porsche over axle pipes, lightweight clutch and flywheel and stage 2 conversion. First impressions of the @ninemeister_porsche kit is that it makes the car so much more urgent and free revving. The added pull is noticeable everywhere in every gear.

Thank you Ray @northwayporscheltd for making today’s handover so much fun and so seamless. The kit you have there is breathtaking🤤.

First proper outing will be next week’s @flat6fm track social @bicestermotion after going to Mike @neucar_detailing for correction and 5 year @angel_wax coating 🤟🏼

So after 22,500 miles (20,500 in my ownership), 4.5 years and countless European road trips and track days, the hunt for the 3RS replacement was on. It was always going to be a manual Touring but finding one that ticked every single must have option for me was proving hard to find, until that is, this beauty turned up @warford_cars.

PTS Aventurine Green, buckets, rear seats, PCCB’s, lift, silver wheels, March 2026 car with only 1,700 miles on the clock.

It’s safe to say the drive home was the stuff of dreams. The manual gearbox is so mechanical and involving, the sound is still epic and the ride quality, turn in and steering feel phenomenal. Can’t wait to get to know her more over the coming months and years. Once the V5 arrives she’ll be on my increasingly cherished GT03 BMX plate. If you see us out and about feel free to come and have a chat, just be prepared for me to bore you to death with tales of how good this car is😂!

Jordan @warford_cars, it’s been a pleasure mate, thank you for making today so seamless and such a brilliant experience. Mike @neucar_detailing, thank you for joining me and listening to me eulogise about how good the RS is and how it compared to the Touring all the way home 🤟🏼

Porsche Mission S previews a new flagship above the 911. A mid-engined concept that previews a new super sports car to take on Ferrari 💥

This matters because Porsche is not talking about another one-off halo car. Mission S points towards a permanent model line above the 911, changing the Porsche hierarchy in a fairly significant way.

For years the 911 has effectively been the top of the regular range. Mission S creates room above it, allowing Porsche to target Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren without continually stretching the 911 further into supercar territory.

The key confirmed point is the mid-engined layout.

Porsche has not yet confirmed the production engine, power output or final drivetrain, so anything beyond that is still speculation. What is clear is that the company’s revised strategy keeps combustion, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains in play.

There is plenty of Porsche history in the design. The front wings and round headlights reference the 911, the low nose has shades of the GT1, the rear proportions hint at the 959, while the exposed horizontal fan is an obvious nod to the 917.

The interior is arguably even more interesting.

There is no huge central display dominating the dashboard and no passenger screen. Instead there are physical controls, five circular instruments and an analogue rev-counter needle.

There is even a physical key to the left of the steering wheel.

After years of manufacturers assuming every new interior needs more screens, that feels like a welcome change.

911UK take

The most interesting part is not simply that Porsche is building something faster or more expensive than a 911.

It is that Porsche appears willing to create space above the 911 rather than continually pushing the 911 upwards.

Get that right and both cars benefit.

The new flagship gets the freedom to chase outright performance, technology and price. The 911 gets a better chance of remaining recognisably a 911.

For enthusiasts, a low, mid-engined Porsche with physical controls, an analogue rev counter and less screen clutter feels like a promising direction.
