We arrived to Liberty University this past Wed. and stayed through this morning! The mix of emotions we’ve all felt, over the past week, has been a lot! Never felt this way before - feeling so much sadness and joy at the same time, and worry. What really shook me is how the boys have all been so sad to part with her and not be around her as much. They look to her as a best friend and they change so much at this young age. To see Emma so sad leaving them and them so sad to leave her just broke me. On an happier note…
I am so happy for Emma, and excited to see what God has in store for her! She’s so excited to start classes tom! Her dorm is adorable and she’s rooming with her friend, Asmara! We know and met some people from NY & she’s got a car & will be able to come home if she ever wants to! Even though she’s always been a home body, I can tell she’s ready to fly! She’s going places, doing more than I ever did & I’d never want to stop her!
I’m super sad, feeling heart ache… leaving her 9 hours away, in another state, is not easy! I love every day with her, love her in our home and her presence in our lives day to day. She brings JOY! Going through this change and letting go is not easy. I’m going to miss her every day. I will stay busy with my boys and they need me, I still have so much to do, but a part of me is definitely there, and I won’t feel completely 100% till we all are together again! I know I can call her and talk to her all the time, but it’s still a new phase of life, a phase that is not possible to prepare for, or one that a mom wants to go through. I’d keep all my kids with me forever if I could but I know God created me to raise them for His glory & to build beautiful lives of their own, and I’m truly happy for Emma and this new chapter she’ll have at LU!
Liberty University has such a presence of the Lord… it’s hard to put into words what an amazing campus, student body and atmosphere, Emma will be blessed to be a part of! Praying she’ll make amazing friends, grow so much in the Lord & personally & make amazing memories! See you soon, sweetie! Love you forever ❤️🤍💙👏🏼🙏🏼

The BEST day…. celebrating & surprising Emma on her 18th Birthday! I’m feeling SO grateful for everyone that helped make her day so special & can’t believe I actually pulled off a surprise party for her cause shes the type to figure out everything & I’m the type to spoil it all! 🤣🤣She was blown away & it was the best time (way too short tho!) We love you all! Happy 18th to one of the best things in our life… @emma_willert08 🥳🥳🩵🩵
