Celebrated our guy all weekend long! Happy 60th birthday to my best friend. Truly the best thing that ever happened to me was you @jsmithatty! We celebrated at @gianmarcosbham with friends! Lydia surprised him completely by coming home with a gaggle of her friends for the big Georgia weekend! Anderson also had a big weekend with his crew! I hate Bama didn’t get the win for your bday, but if it helps- no one believes you are anywhere near 60! We love you so much!! Ha ha! #washeshisfacewithdialsoap #iamjealous

Everyone in one place for a brief little moment made this mama super happy! Great to be back with Anderson this weekend after two weekends in Oxford! We are just bopping around the SEC at this point! Ha ha! #rolltideroll

10/10 recommend taking your big kids and a bunch of their friends on a beach trip before school starts! We ate and laughed and stayed up way past my bedtime! Best week with some of my faves! ❤️

Boat day around Capri was so much fun! As per usual Anderson barely came out of the water and brought his own gear with him. We ate lunch in a cliffside restaurant and went all the way to the top to enjoy Capri’s famous lemon gelato before getting back on the boat and visiting the various grottos! Looking straight up the cliff sides definitely seemed other worldly. It felt like the set for Avatar… absolutely breathtaking! We also loved the view of Vesuvius from our hotel in Sorrento! Jeff and Anderson got a wild hair to rent Vespas and drive to Pompeii one day while Lydia and I shopped in Positano. That lasted about 20 minutes before Anderson became a Vespa wreck survivor! Turns out driving those around sharp hair pin turns is harder than it looks. Not a phone call I enjoyed getting, but we were very thankful he didn’t break any bones or get hit by any cars! Pompeii will have to be a “next time” visit! lol! Now I just need to adjust to not having an ocean view with a Hugo Spritz in my hand every afternoon! Take me back!! 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Positano and her unbelievable views quickly became my favorite part of our trip! It literally felt like we were walking around in a postcard. We had some of our best meals there and went to @francosbar for Watermelon Palomas and olives every night. Lunch at @terrazzacele was also a highlight along with lots of shopping! On the last day of our trip we booked chairs at @grassibeachclub for the day and enjoyed a beach day!

When in Rome… 🇮🇹 We kicked off our trip with a couple of days in Rome. The Trevi fountain was stunningly gorgeous, the boys got their testosterone fix with a tour of the Colosseum, we wandered through the Roman Forum/ Pallentine Hill area and saw the Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. However, my favorite (and I think Anderson’s too) was the Vatican! The amount of art and attention to detail was literally breathtaking. Seeing the Sistine Chapel (and sneaking a family selfie) was truly a highlight! The former History teacher in me could barely take it all in… I could have stayed several more days, but I think Lydia would have revolted! Lol!
